Yea lol thats ME!

Ok so i'm going to start making posts for each day (unless im too busy) about what i eat, how im feeling etc.... so please prepare to be bored lol joking!

Well today is the 28th September at 16:30.

So far today it hasnt been too good, ive had:

2 wheatabix at 8am
3 pretty big chocolatey cookies at 11:40 am
about 30 grapes at 15:40
1 Alpen breakfast cereal bar at 16:20

The cookies are the worst, those things were sickly, im not buying them again.

Sooo lets roughly add that up so far:

The wheatabix are 200 cals.
The cookies didnt say because they are made at school, i'll take a guess and say 200 each, so thats 600 calories because there was 3.
Grapes are next to nothing, ill say 30 cals
The Alpen bar is about 110 calories,

so thats 940 calories in total. Although its just a guess with the cookies, they could have been more or less.

My plan tonite is to have a tuna sandwich with lettuce and thats it.

Can anyone comment or leave some advice on this day please?

Cheers for reading, Eazy duz it! lol :p

Have you thought about checking out or ?

They are good sources for tracking calories. Aside from the grapes and pending lettuce, I don't see much in the way of fruits & vegies but I don't know what a wheatabix is?

Wheatbix are just like cereal biscuits made of wheat.

Heres a pic of one:

Sorry my bad, they are called "Weetabix" not "Wheatabix". Either way they are pretty healthy.

Update:

I have just had my daily vitamin tablet which contains the recommended daily ammount of vitamins.

Also, i like to make my own diet plans, usually online ones have things i dont like in them, thanks anyway.

How are you doing on drinking water?

the cookies werent bad calorie wise, it's the nutrition value that's pretty non existent... though occassional splurges are good for you..

Nutrition data has weatabix biscuits at 67 calries per biscuit... and only 2 grams of fiber per biscuit... so your fiber count for the day is really low as well

Nutrition data has 10 grapes at 30 calories so 30 grapes would be 90 calories - not a big difference... but M2M's suggestion of using an online food journal that tracks your calories is a good one...

glad to see yu in your journal...

OK - I know what the are, I guess I just never knew what to call them!

Vitamins are good - (when I remember them) ;) but there's nothing better then food, and good food, to get your nutrition in. One, it fulfills the vitamin need, but it also keeps you full. Honestly, if I ate what you have/will today, I would end up starving and then binge on something.

I need to eat about every 3 hours to feel full and to keep my metabolism working.

you wouldn't have to follow the online diet plan - what it gives you is a place to record what you are eating..

Then, after you record what you are eating, you can evaluate whether or not you are eating the right amounts of the right stuff.

I honestly thought I could just "cut back" what I was eating - and while I did lose a small amount slowly, I had no idea of how many calories I was actually eating and it's amazing how tough it can be to get the recommended amount of grains/protein/dairy/fruits/vegies, etc., in - but when I do, I'm full, I don't binge, feel better and I'm within my calorie range and still have room for my chocolate ;)

But im not hungry, but i will have a sandwich soon even though im not hungry because i dont like eating late.
Mathematically (spelling) i need to have 1000 calories a day to lose 2 lb a week, how am i supposed to do that?

Also, where on that website do i find the thing that tells me what i should have more of?

Oh yea and i do drink quite a lot of water. I need to go to the toilet alot though because im drinking what i should have (2.8 litres) and it takes a whilefor your body to get used to it.

I hear ya, I don't like to eat too late either and I won't eat unless I'm hungry, so it's a catch-22.

I think what I was pointing out was merely your food for the day lacked some nutrition. It's very hard to get a completely nutritious day, so I try and look at a whole week instead of a snapshot of one day.

See, this is a personal opinion, and you can do what you want with it ;) However, I don't feel the average person tring to lose weight should be trying to stay at 1000 calories a day. As you get closer to your goal, it's harder to lose more then a pound a week, simply because you don't have enough calories to spare. It's a simple fact that every organ in your body needs a certain amount of calories to function properly - your body doesn't then just use up the "fat of the land" it moves on to eating up muscle - and that's a dieter's nightmare.

Also, where on that website do i find the thing that tells me what i should have more of?

When I enter what I've eaten for the day, there's a pie chart that will show a percentage for carbs, protein & fat.

But the minimum for fruits & vegies is 5 -7 servings a day - each serving being about 1/2 cup.

Ok today has been a right cock up, so far ive had:

2 Weetabix
3 cookies
1 "Alpen" bar
1 yoghurt

Thats a total of 550 minus the cookies because i dont know how much is in them. Probably about 200 each, so thats 1150 calories and i havnt even had any dinner yet. I'm just getting a bit annoyed because im losing weight really slowly.

Eazy: This is your diary, you don't have wait for people to post--if you've got something on your brain, come here and right it down--you want to brag about a weight-loss, grumble about a problem, anything come here and write it down. I guarentee that most of the posts in my diary are from me....because I use it for me. If you use your diary more frequently and visit other peoples diaries you will not end up on page 2.

That said: You've seriously concerned me with your 'throw up' thread. Please don't do it---not even once. I was serious, I will not associate with people who are knowingly hurting themselves. Throwing up is a temporary fix that has long term consequences. Change your eating habits, ie don't overeat, and you will not have to resort to purging.

Please promise me that you won't do it--please?

Well no one really reads my diary and it often gets pushed onto the next page because everyone is posting in other peoples diaries. I just get annoyed with this forum sometimes.

EasyE,
I'm sorry you're feeling a little lonely here - please understand that your diary is only two days old, it was started on 9/28 and today is 9/30 AND it's a weekend, which are slower days around here anyway.

It takes time to get a diary active. It takes your time in posting to your diary, it takes your time going to other people's diary and posting in theirs.

Feeling like you're being "ignored" doesn't mean you ARE being "ignored"

As for the throwing up...it is NEVER a good idea. EVER.
I'm sure you really know that.

Less harmful risks:
Repeated vomiting is obviously exposing teeth to the hydrochloric acid in the stomach very frequently, this will erode the teeth and cause unpleasnt dental problems.
Vomiting also causes swolen salivary glands, that can be visible on the outside of the neck.
Weight fluctuations.
Irregular menstural periods.

More harmful risks:
Kidneys may start to function poorly which may result in odema (swollen feet and ankles)
Irregular heartbeats
Muscle weaknesses
Epileptic seizures
Heart attacks and strokes- which can result in death!

A shortage of potassium can cause an eletrolyte imbalance, which causes:
Decreased blood pressure
Dry skin
Increased cholesterol
Weak reflexes
Irregular heart beat
Nervousness
General Weakness
Heart attacks and strokes - As well as many more symptoms!

If you are feeling the need to throw up, then you seriously need to stop eating before you get to that point. If you feel you can't, or are unwilling or unable to stop eating before getting to that point, perhaps you need to talk with someone who specializes in eating disorders.

Learning to lead a healthy life, getting fit and losing weight does not mean you need to compromise your health.
