Dumbell exercises and frequency

I have been doing dumbell weights since March of this year for rotator cuff problems.
I began with 3# and now am using 10# weights.
I am doing 13 different exercises for shoulder and biceps and have been doing the exercises every morning when possible.
Can anyone tell me if this is too much and what the correct frequency of the exercises should be?
thanks
ps...i am a 57 yr old male in good health (except for that 15#'s :) ) and enjoy the exercises but dont want to damage anything.

hey,
I dont think you should do so many exercises. You either need to split them up into groups every other day or cut your exercises down. Too many exercises can lead to overstraining your muscles. You should probably do about 5 exercises a day and work every other day so your muscles have a chance to rest.

I recommend you take 3 days rest. And take it easy with the excersises, do 3 sets of 10-12 reps, but make the reps concentrated if they are too easy(What I mean by concentrated is to do them slowly so you feel the burn). Good luck!

Norm, I agree with Samdaman an Oblivion02 as well you are overworking the muscles. Did you have surgery? Sound like the exercises my father in law is currently doing.
