dreamingblue's Journey

hey girl, at least today it's at 310...so it's moving along which is good. i also have a digital scale and always step twice to be sure, luckily mine has always given me the same reading, it would suck if it gave different.... it's funny how 0.8 can make all the difference. just keep going hun your doing great and will be below that barrier soon. :smash:
You wanna know what my scale did to me this morning?

I got on and I was 310.0. Cool right? I wasn't satisfied, I thought that something was going on. So I waited a few minutes, got back on and it was 310.8!!! Now, I know my scale is FINE. It's a good scale. It's digital, but I guess it depends on how you stand on it.

My original thing to do was just to weigh myself at Curves and I think I'm gonna continue to do that. Argh.

I hate that with the digital scales when they read differently. I think you're right to just keep with the scale at curves.

That's awesome you're lost around 15lbs!! nice job!

Woohoo, Dreaming!! 310!

I step twice too on the digital scale, and if it's a really good reading, I'll step 10 times ;)

After Thursday, which is my official weigh in day with Curves, I'm gonna stop checking my weight everyday. I think I'm just gonna start checking it once a week. I can get a little obsessive sometimes, so I gotta watch out for that.

So, if I'm still 310 tomorrow, I will have lost about 9 lbs from April 21st to May 21st. Which is not bad at all, but I wanted that number 10. I'm very competitive, I can't help it. Curves has this chart where they list the people that have loss the most, and I wanted to be at the top of the list, but I don't think I'm gonna be at the top, I'll probably be second. There is this lady there that has lost 18 lbs in a month. So she'll probably lose a lot of weight again, and she'll be first. I know, I'm being silly, but it's the overachiever in me. lol

I stay up late usually like til about 1 or 2 am. Around 12 am I decided to exercise, lol, so I did about 20 minutes of cardio to an exercise tape. I took a shower afterwards and slept like a baby. lol.

I think I'm also gonna add some cardio at night, if I'm not doing anything else.

lol Dreaming, I soooo understand being competitive. I've gotten into a couple of minor arguments with a friend of mine over it. She's 70 pounds lighter than me and when we jog, I can jog faster. Naturally this makes me smile, but infuriates her, which is understandable lol. No one ever wants the fat chick to beat them. :)

I also like the silent competitions at the gym when a person gets onto the machine next to you and they keep pace, or you want to up it to keep their pace lol. Maybe I'm sick in the head, but I love it.

I'm excited for your weigh day today. I hope you hit your mark, but even if you don't, 9 pounds is an exceptional accomplishment.

LOL, YMCA, OMG, I have those silent competitions too. I have no idea if they are participating in my competition or not. There's this girl, that goes in on Mondays usually at the same time I do. And she's about my age. She's a little smaller than me, but I see her glancing over at me some times like she's keeping an eye on me. And I glance at her too. I totally try to one up her. But then she starts doing these jumping jacks and whatnot, and I'm like "Dammit, I can't do jumping jacks like that" so I start running very hard. It's soooo silly. But it makes me exercise better, I know that.

However, my friend comes with me to Curves like 3 days a week, and on those days I can't seem to make myself be in competition with her. lol. Actually, she kinda slows me down a bit, because I get into her rhythm which is slower than me.

310 this morning.

Not feeling that well. I may have to go see a doctor. I have GERD and when it flares up I start thinking I have health problems. I've been to the hospital a few times with chest pains before, but it turned out to be nothing but GERD. That's how serious it is, it makes you think you have all these health problems wrong with you.

My left side has started hurting so badly. So now I'm thinking it's the worst, like kidney, liver or gallbladder problems.

Who knows maybe I pulled a muscle. Or maybe its GERD. I dunno, but it's been going on for a few days and I can't just keep guessing what it is anymore.

And I'm wondering if GERD is slowing me down in terms of weight loss. It just doesn't make sense to me that I can't get over this 310 hump, with the way I've been exercising and eating.

Maybe the universe wants me to be eternally stuck at 310.

Argh.

Party at my house if I ever get to 309.

Damn re the GERD flare up :( Hope you are feeling better... and whoo hoooooo.. I am up for a 309 party .. going to be next week too so get ready!!!!

the one place i'd like to loose from first and foremost is my waist (or should i say lack thereof lol!), i just wish we could choose where we want to loose from...but i guess the body gets to decide that.

Good call on trying to check it once a week! I used to weigh myself every single day and at times it drove me insane because I can get quite obsessive as well. Once I began weighing myself less often (but still regularly) I was able to keep being motivated because of the accumulated weight lost over the week. What can be difficult sometimes is actually refraining from stepping on the scale for a whole week. Sometimes 7 days could seem like AGES! Haha. I guess that depends on willpower as well.

Congrats on your weight loss so far and keep up the great work!

Thanks everyone for the comments :)

Ugh, no more food channel! Bobby Flay was frying up some delicious donuts and now I am craving some BAD.

I think I'll eat me some strawberries and drink some water to curb the craving.
