DQ Something Different

You're too funny. I think the chicken came first. lol

4lbs is not bad at all, you can drop that no problem. Your challenge sounds great, I hope you win!! Scrapbooking is fun.

:seeya:Hi DQ! I didn't realize that you and Luscious Lemons are also fellow :eh:!!! All of us Canucks on this forum are just part of The Plan to take over the world... (remember our Strange Brew orders from Bob & Doug?) I say, move to the Okanagan, already! Spring has been here for at least 2 weeks. Flowers blooming, yada, yada, blaa, blaa. It's paradise (except no one can afford it!).

Glad to see you back on the WLF with a renewed dedication to exercise!

Cheers,
ABBA:hat:

Hey Dari!
Remember me?
I see that you took a hiatus as well... but it looks like you are doing way better than me!
Wow 140! good work!

ABBA, um... we don't want to hear about your blooming flowers while we are still in snow! :blush5: Just kidding, the Okanogan is one of my favourite parts of Canada! I am from the Calgary area!

YAY CANADIANS!!

Hey hey Paulette, it's so nice to see you again!

I'm going to make the rounds in the diaries today, as it's a 'stay home in your pj's' day. LOL!

Today is going alright so far, going to get the trampoline out when the baby has his nap. :)

Well, my week back in business is off to a slow start, but it's something. I've managed to get some activity back with a blizzard-type dealie we had. Lots of shovelling.:cuss:

I have also replaced some of my diet pop with water...not enough, of course, but I'm finding it's way tougher to cut out the diet pop than it was the regular stuff. :(

WTG on replacing diet pop w/ water!! I like your siggy btw, cracks me up! I'm gonna be doing more shoveling tommorrow morning it sounds like, I don't know about you, but I've HAD IT with winter!!!

Alright, so I suck. I won't go into details. :nopity:

The weather has finally started a turn for the better...cross your fingers for me. It's hit above -20 for the first time in weeks, and the sun is shining. In fact, I'm craving a walk right now. I'm going to phone my mom and see if she'd be willing to take the kids for 20 minutes or so. If not, I'll have to wait until tomorrow. :(

Woohoo! She agreed! I love having my mom in town. Speaking of which, she and my step-dad are moving back permanently! They just bought a house:party:

Above -20? Oh my, I think I should quit complaining now...LOL

Yes, you should. LOL! Kidding...I actually love this type of winter, how it is today. Cool, brisk, sunny, no wind. Perfect day for me.

And I got a 20 min. walk in...not as much as I used to, but this was my first time out in months. I got my heart rate up though. :)

Two good days in a row! Despite the aggravating urge to emotional eat this week (due to, you guessed it, the ex), I've been holding my own. Under in calories yesterday, and doing quite well so far today.

And it's nice out again! Temperature has hit 0 again, and the snow beneath my feet is becoming soft and melty.

On a downer note, yet another building in our already tiny uptown is being demolished. Here's a pic I took yesterday. I feel like crying, it's been there since before I was born. And the street looks awful without it now. The small building to the left (well, the small building that USED to be there. lol!) was an add-on. The larger building on the right is gone now too. :(

I'd cry everyday in a town that only had a two week summer season. I dunno how y'all do it up there, honestly. Is the ice road still running ??
