Down 27lbs in 12 weeks.

It's finally happening! I've totally comitted to getting in shape. I started at 232lbs and I was 205lbs yesterday.

Small healthy meals every 3 hours
Drink only water
Don't eat 3 hours before bed
Kickbox first thing in the morning (1 hour)
Treadmill/bike at night (1 hour)
One day off a week from training

My goal is to lose 30 more pounds in 12 weeks for a vacation to Florida on August 5th. I'm pumped!

Goal = 175lbs on Aug 5th

Any other suggestions?

Thanks man. I have some pics from when I was very heavy. Though I did avoid the camera as much as possible...lol:D

No after pics because I'm still a work in progess but I'll get them up soon.

Congratulations so far. Here are my suggestions.

I would eat something before bed, like cottage cheese or drink a glass of milk at least.
Instead of 2 hours of daily cardio, mix in some weight training. The muscles you build will help burn more calories, plus your doing 12 hours cardio a week. You're in danger of overexerting your body. I would keep the kickboxing, as its probably a bit more fun than regular old treadmill. Than I would add some weight training three times a week.
 
Thanks Tony. I have been thinking of weight training, my thing is I set this weight in goal of wieghing 175lbs by Aug 5th. I've never been able to make a weigh in goal before but now it seems possible. I use to do a lot of body building, if I start lifting I'm gonna put on scale weight, I know that for sure.

It all seems trite but this 175lbs by Aug has been fueling me hard. I'm going home to see my family and want to look better. Ego.......

But I do want to some weight training because my kickboxing trainer has me doing a million push ups, so the tri's are bangin' but the bi's are lagging. I'm confused.

Weighed in this morning: 203.3lbs down 29.2 lbs in 3 months Yeah!

Well the pushups will work your tris and chest, tris particularly if your hands are close together.

Congrats man. Two pound a week is rocking on progress, and looks like you've done it without starving yourself!

It's 3am and I'm so f**kin' hungry I could eat my laptop...

So I sit here and click away and get drunk on water. I can't wait till I lose all the weight and can go on a maintenance program. I've been steady losing 2 to 3 pounds a week for 3 months.

If you can't tell from this insane post, it's been a rough night with hunger...I'll get my oatmeal on in the morning and go kickbox and we'll see how deep the rabbit hole really goes.
 
Somewhere around 2000. I'm not a calorie counter, I'm a portion size guy.

I read a book entitled 'Fire Up Your Metabolism' and it changed my life. Check it out if you get a chance. It's by the Lakatos twins. Very solid info and tons of helpful hints on dealing with day to day challenges for trying to eat right.
 
I lost 50 pounds in 4 months from calorie counting and exercise. I eat around 3,000 calories a day now, but when I started I was eating 1,500.

10/31: 240 lbs
2/14: 190 lbs


Presently at: 185 lbs
