Ok, here I go again.............This is the third time in the last 20 years I will have lost over 60 pounds :( I have five pairs of blue jeans in each size from 32 to 46, I may not wear the 32s ever again but I am going to sport those 38 for sure and maybe the 36s. And I prooooooooomise to keep the weight off this time for good. I have a buddy this time, my son (ben11151) is loosing with me. There are several others in the family that are going to try also, but they aren't making it an official attempt yet. Maybe after I convince them to check out this Form they will be inspired. It has inspired me again :D

Hey there Zookeeper!

Welcome to WLF and good luck on your journey. I think it is amazing that you and your son are doing this together. You two will be a huge help to eachother and wonderful support.

There is tons of great information here on nutrition, exercise, and weight loss in general. There's also wonderful people. Have fun poking around and getting to know the forum and some of the people :)

hey there zookeeper.

stay focused. have a good diet, and put in a lot of effort and work at the gym and u will see the pounds fall off

No, I am an electrician. The zookeeperk9 has been my on line name for years. It started because our children were all growing up, but grandchildren were years away yet. Every time my wife started talking about wanting more babies I bought here a puppy. A after a few years of this I became zookeeperk9 :) We now have several wonderfully grand children so I'm off the hook for now......lol

OK, This morning was the first week weigh in..........(ben11151) lost 8lbs and I lost 7lbs:beerchug: Ben did really good, He is looking after his grandparents house while they are out of town. Grandpa stocked up on junk food for him before they left, not knowing Ben was starting a diet. Ben must have kept his nose out of it to have lost 8lbs. Hope Grandpa gets back soon don't know how long Ben can hold out being alone in the house with all that junk food....;)

Way to go on the loss'! I'm a firm believer in support systems and there is nothing better then having a built in support system in friends and family. Once your family starts seeing positive results for you and your son I'm sure they'll jump on the band wagon. Keep up the good work!

Did really good this week, hope the scales agree. Looked at the exercise equipment at sears this week, realized how much I have missed working out the past few years. Tryed jogging during my walk on wed. I was able to do it for a couple of short distances, maybe 100 yards each. a far cry from the 6 miles I did the last time I jogged in 2000.
Can't decide how much is the weight and how much is the seven years older that makes my legs feel so flat when I jog.

Great job! I look at excercise equipment all the time online but I always get sticker shock and decide that a gym membership is better...more diversity in the what I can do, so if I don't want to do cardio I can always do strength training. Keep up the good work! It feels good, doesn't it?

Week two, dropped 6 more pounds. Didn't get as much exercise in as I intended to. Going to start lifting weights again this week. Ben has not weighed this week he has been fighting stomach flue and hasn't exercised. My wife has decided to get on board and announced the beginning of her journey. :beerchug:

Week three lost 4 more pounds. Started weight training this past week. Started exercise bike training in the mornings today. Between pictures next week. :D
