I was browsing looking for weightloss success stories ect cuz I love reading and seeing others do so well figured it helps me and I saw this site under it and these women are barely eating anything they are skinpping 2 out of 3 meals and concidering lemonade as a meal also they have their so call inspiring pictures and they are of Mary Kate Nichole Richie ect.WOW:eek:

Ick..........I dont want to look like a 12 year old boy, i like curves and not having an exoskelton!!!!! weird!

I hear ya I like some curves and I read through a few and was very shocked
that people's goals are too look like Nichole richie instead of like Salma Hyatt or Jessica Smpson(she's curvy) Tammy

It literally is a "pro anorexia" site, folks.
I feel bad for them, but any attempt to use logic isn't going to work. The girl is "fat" at 160 lbs and wants to get to 109 lbs... well... Her current BMI is slightly into "overweight" and she is aiming to get to "slightly underwieght", but honestly, it is doubtful she ever will get there. What she'll probably do is get into the normal, healthy range of weight and BMI and be miserable and angry about it.
It is unfortunate, but she's still young, and with any luck she will figure it out and be happy that she's beautiful and healthy before it causes her too much pain and trauma.
Has anyone considered dropping her a link to this forum? ;)

I think it cost money but I was going to make a post in the 1 that was on a water diet Breakfast water lunch lemonade dinner water snack water that was bizzare.............

It's so sad. I think we are very lucky to understand that weight loss is something that must be healthy and happy...Thank you to the genius who created this forum! I really feel safe here!

As the father of a daughter who had some eating disorders, I can say that is one sick site. Fortunately, my daughter overcame her problems with no major damage. I'm glad Spain has now forbidden models with a BMI of < 18.

I was really happy to see Dove come out with their a few months ago. I wish every teenage girl would watch it.

thats not as bad as some I've seen. I accidently ventured onto a pro-ana forum because I was curious as to what size 0 actually looked liked. They have sections with photos of "thinspiration" there was one photo of a lady they were all aspiring to be like and she was just bones and actively encourgaed each other to loose weight and do bizarre diets like 8,6,4,2,0 and the like. There was one girl on there posting photos of herself, she was 16, 5ft 9 and 10stone which is perfect weight for that height, she was absolutely stunningly beautiful and gorgeous figure yet wants to loose at least 2 stone and these other girls were encouraging her! giving her horrendous tips etc. The girl on the xanga site has a gorgeous figure its so sad she can't see that!

That sounds like a bad site to.They shouldn't have sites like that especially when there are so many young people with eating disorders as well as older.
I saw 1 story where the chick said she takes 1 apple cuts it into 8 slices and has 2 for Break 2 lunch 2 for dinner and 2 for snack and she said someone told her it tricks the body into thinking its eating 4 times a day now thats BIZZARRE!!

Coming from someone who has battled this, when you are in that mindset you don't see yourself as normal. What you see & what others see is way off. She probably won't be able to see herself as healthy even when she gets to the goal weight. When you get to that point it takes something pretty dramatic to get through. I still wonder if I really see what I am or what I think I am. Pictures rarely show me what I expect to see. Funny how it effects your mind so much.

Hope these girls find a way out.

I'm going to the gym today. I'm disapointed these strudels made me put the pound back on.

see ladies? That's what junk does to you.

Wow, just wow. Hopefully she will wise up before its too late.

I think it was US World or some gossip magazine had a cover of Nicole Richie and it was Pre-Simple Life and Post-Simple Life

She looked like she was a totally different person on the Post-picture. It was disgusting. Her stomach WENT INWARDS

The worst part about this to me is... the girls 16. I know there's some young people on this site, but at 16 it's hard to know any better. I feel really old saying this, but where are this girls parents??

Some one said that no logic will help and they are right. People like that need serious help, you cant just go talk to them and say....:eek:h you look great look how pretty you are" they are seriously damaging their internal organs and it is soooooooo sad, but just like anyother condition out there, these people will always exist!!! its just too bad that we have such a horrible media driving it,,,,however I willl say that I think it has gotten better over the years.

Before you're tempted to be too hard on the parents, you'd be surprised how adept young girls can be in hiding what they're doing. On top of that, you're always playing a delicate balance as a parent -- you have to pick your battles very carefully, or you'll lose the whole war.

Fortunately, our kids turned out extremely well, but during their teenage years, I developed a real appreciation for "there but the grace of God go I."

I think anyone who has been a parent and was truly involved in the upbringing of their kids implicitly understands that. Most of the people who are first to blame the parents have never had children themselves. Granted, there are plenty of parents who are rotten and miserable at it. But you have to really know the situation before you make that assumption.

I watched a few lifetime movies which are based on true stories and alot of the young girls are hanging out with the wrong crowd and has nothing to do with the parents being involved 1 movie alot took place at school and after school sports such as basketball, ballett 1 coach was even saying they put on weight?
