Diets For Building Muscle

I can find articles on the internet that say electric clothes dryers are killing us too. That doesn't amount to scientific research.

I do give that article a thumbs up for this pic though

Have you actually read the whole thing?

What harm is salt supposed to do? I eat a ton of the stuff and my doctor says I'm perfect (physically that is ;))

EDIT: I know that a sample size of one isn't a scientifically valid sample size, I just want to know what sodium is supposed to have done to me that's so bad?

Chicken and broccoli will make you fat if you eat enough of it.

Well that's true... but...

Are you saying big macs and any big burger from maccass is a good way to bulk up?? not the whole diet but maybe 1 every day or 2? What about the trans fats?? and salt!

I'm just thinking back to supersize me... but i guess that guy also had the chips, milkshakes and coke to go with the burgers.

I just think its an unhealthy way to bulk up and you would gain more fat than you wanted relative to muslce? what do you think?

Id say fast food is fine now and again, especially when your bulking. Your not exactly gonna lose any weight are you :)

Id never eat it on a training day tho, makes me feel so tiredd.

In the words of Coach Ethan Reeves, "Find a way to win, I dont want an excuse for losing." In talking with a pal on the forum who is working some thin athletes looking to pack on pounds he told them to eat more. They asked, "So more chicken and vegetables?" His reply, "No go to McDonalds, eat some pizza, ice cream, etc."

This is all relevant to your activity level of course. Point is, if you cannot gain weight, revert to extreme measures. Trans fat is mainly in the fries, or something deep fried. Therefore a Big Mac would not be a threat for TF.

EXACTLY. I don't see why to tell someone who is super thin, struggling to gain weight to "make sure to eat lean meats, red meat 3x a week, with veggies at every meal!"

Go to Mcdonalds and eat. Once you start gaining weight, you can cut back on the junk.

I agree actually BUT i wouldn't be eating pizza, ice cream and big macs EVERY meal even if i was SUPER thin and could never gain weight.... weight gain aside..... there are other things to consider: poor skin (acne), poor teeth, cholestrol levels, blood sugar, affecting your mood, vitamin defficiencies, etc.... i would still be eating fruit and vegetables and healthy stuff as well to avoid problems like that.
