I turned 33 on Saturday and I'm realizing that I have to get my life back to being healthy again. I'm 138.5, 5'1 and love to eat. I think I consumed over 10,000 calories  over the weekend because of my birthday and superbowl. But it's a new day and a new year and I'm going to turn it around.:D
Food:
Breakfast: Protein Shake (half banana, 6-7 strawberries, teaspoon whey protein, teaspoon natural PB, 1 cup FF milk)
The other half of banana
Drink: 16 oz White Tea
AM Snack: Lifetime Leansource Bar
Lunch: PF Chang's Hot and Sour Soup and Peking Dumplings
PM Snack: Lifetime Leansource Bar
Dinner: ?

Exercise: Volleyball tonight
I'm going to need to get a run in today and get my weights in also. Working on Legs and maybe some interval training. Let's see what happens tonight

Happy Belated!

Ohhh.. .I love Volleyball! Right now though, we have no where to play. The Parks and Rec dept I played at always used this one gym, and the city built a new school, so they won't let us use their new high priced, spiffy gym. :( So, no playing for me.

I'm love playing it too! I've been playing it for so long that I can't stop from playing yet. Right now I'm playing at the Rec centers with the dame girls I've been playing with for a good 2-3 years so it's a really good time and I get a really good sweat in. But I know that lately, when I haven't been working out, my abilities start to get pretty ugly, so playing volleyball is one of my motivations, that and also trying to keep up with the younger girls too! :D

welcome to your diary mn (you don't mind i shortened your name?? i tend to do that lol) and happy birthday with delay :) Lena

Xorie needs to find your diary - she's another volleyball player :D

I'll have to look up xorie and send her a hello! PF chang's is so yummy! The only bad part is that I was supposed to workout during lunch today, but since we're ordering lunch in, I'm gonn ahve to get my workout in after work, if I don't get too lazy...:(

Where in MN do you live? Hubby and I lived in Edina for a year from Aug 2000-Jul31 2001. We loved it there, other than having no family or friends within 17 hrs of us.

Also, there is something I miss from the Byerly's grocery store there... their tomato basil soup is the best in the whole world (that I have tasted) combined with their asiago bagels and a scrumptious lunch for a cold day is had by all. Yummmm. Man, I have wanted to come back and get some of that for just that reason!

I'm in Eagan and I've lived here almost all my life. Going on 32 years now...so it's home to me. I LOVE Byerly's Tamato Basil soup too! you're so right, they have the best best soup there!

Around 245 today I was feeling the chocolate fix. I'm so proud of myself that I kept myself busy and waited until 345 to take my Leansource bar. After I ate that, no more chocolate fix needed! Yeah me! No I just have to get on that treadmill today...

Before we came back to VA, we looked at a place in Eagan. If we had stayed, that's probably where we would have ended up.

Man, the winter we were there was ferocious (for a lowly va girl) with the snow and wind, but I loved it! I still take out my pics of the house on Valley View Rd and look at the snow piled high. .. I didn't really like shoveling every day for the mail carrier, but I guess I had to get my mail some way! The spring and summer there was so awesome with everyone out enjoying their time! We really do miss the area, but not the mosquitoes! You can keep those things! :p

P.S. I wonder if shipping that soup via snail mail is possible. ;) .....it's THAT good. I looked for the recipe online etc, but couldn't find it. Wonder if they'd give it out in the store?!?!?

They do have it frozen! But it would definitely melt and probably spoil when it gets to you! :D

After work

I went home and had 2 krispy cremes. I usually don't have them in the house, but this morning I got some for my daughter's class because she was student of the week. There were 4 left over and I took 1, scarfed it down, and then had another, same way. I went on the treadmill for 45 minutes and headed to play some volleyball for about an hour and a half. All that work for 5 minutes of pleasure. That jsut doesn't seem right does it?:(

hey! I found you're diary! I too love volleyball! What position do you play? I'm not playing on a club now because of prices, but oh well, i try to pepper with my sister when I can.

Welcome to the site, and I know that you'll find all the support you need! :)

Thanks so much. Today was a good day except for the 2 krispy cremes. But I can't beat myself too much. I was atleast aware and so I start again tomorrow.

I really don't have a position. I've been playing with this Asian league for about 15 years and we kinda have our own little league. Every year there's a huge July 4th tournament that brings about 20 teams. But it's not just women, men's volleyball, soccer, etc. It's a big sports tournament. Anyhow we don't play USVA rules. It's very old school, like back in the 80s, rules and regulations. With this league there are only 2 positions, setter and hitter. I can't set, so there's only one other position for me. :D

But I do love this game and I can't seem to stop playing. I've played in 2 tournaments when I was just barely pregnant with both kids and someday I'll stop playing, but i don't think it's going to be too soon.:p

February 6, 2007

Breakfast: Protein shake (1/2 banana, 1 tbsp whey protein, 1 tsp PB, 6oz FF starwberry yogurt, 1/3 C skim milk) and other half of banana. 100 calorie Goldfish (on my way to work - traffic sucks).
AM snack: Leansource Bar, fruit cup
Lunch: Hot and Sour soup from yesterday and apple
PM Snack: Leansource Bar, fruit cup
Dinner: Hot and Spicy chicken with white rice

Exercise:
Weights: Legs and Chest

Today my only goal is to not have any sweets. Those 2 donuts almost killed me. I don't know why I can't ignore the stuff. I'm trying to buy more healthy snacks for teh kids too. Yogurt, Goldfish crackers, fruit cups. We still have candy in the house and I should get rid of it, but I'm not sure what's stopping me.

I loooove goldfish crackers - especially the whole grain ones... :D I make my own 100 calorie packs with those ziplock snack size baggies (i'm also cheap too :D buying a real bag and splitting it is more than 1/2 the price of the 100 calorie packs :D

That's a really good idea. The 100 packs are almost $3 at Target. My son and daughter can scarf down a full bag if I let them! My favorite are the flavor blasted ones...So yummy!

I've already lost my goal. Someone brought in chocolate cake today and I had a slice:(
I wasn't planning on getting on the treadmill, but I'm going to now for a good 30 minutes.
I did trudge through the snow today and headed to the gym during lunch and got my weights in.:D
