Hello everyone!


This is a different kind of weight loss thread...it's for a couple. Two of us! We recently moved in together and life is settling down (sort of) and we're going to turn our attention to shedding the extra pounds.

We're a very passionate, life-loving couple who love adventure and new things. We've both been waiting our lives to meet each other and it feels like destiny to finally be together.

Each update you'll hear from both of us. One post, two viewpoints.

We will be weighing in on Monday (tomorrow) and putting it in next post.

Who is this sexy couple? It's J. and A.

More About A.

A. is the man, age 39...turning 40 this summer. He's so happy to have a vivacious hot young thing like J. to share his life with. A few years ago, successfully lost around 35 pounds through diet and exercise. Had a sports injury though, broke a leg, and that has hindered the physical activity since then. Gained a lot of weight back. Now it's time to lose it again...once and for all.

More About J.
J. is the Woman!!! age 25, turning 26 this summer.. I'm very happy to have to someone loves life like I do!!! A series of medical events, that has made me pack on just shy of 80lbs... With my man by my side its time to look as sexy as he makes me feel... My ultimate goal is to get my sexy dancing body back.. Rain or shine this permanent weight loss goal will be mine!!!!

Good morning!!

It's A. Here The man of the team.

It's sunny but cool where we are today...good day for a bike ride so no matter how busy I am today, I'll fit in a bike ride!

So I weighed myself today...a little less than I expected so it's a nice place to start: 196

196 is a challenge I can overcome!!! It's almost exactly 30 pounds heavier than I was when I broke my leg 2 years ago.

So bam that's how it happens -- break your leg, stop working out, gain weight back.

Anyways, turning a corner now. My leg/knee -- though healed, it's got a lot of hardware drilled inside it, and is uber painful -- won't hold me back anymore.

I'll update a footer soon with my target weight, but to keep things simple I'll aim to lose 30 pounds and get back to 166. I'm totally pumped up!!

I made my daughter a cinnamon/raisin bagel this morning, and I could have eaten the 2nd half of it, but instead it went in the compost.

J. will be posting her day 2 update later today! But first I want to thank her so much for going out and buying all these amazing fruits and veggies for us. This is just the stuff on the counter top...the fridge is stuffed!!!

I see my sexy man has already posted his morning post, good for him!!
I got up this morning ready to go to the gym with my sister, I will be heading there shortly.. My goal for today is to drink as much water as I can only.. today is a water drinking day with some veggies for supper.. I did already have a slice of watermelon that filled the average size bowl, it was nice and refreshing for the morning.. I just ate an apple and am going to have a banana.. My gym goal for today, is to do the couch to 5K app on phone plus fingers crossed 30 minutes on the elliptical, then some strength training.. I'm not a fan of using machines for weight lifting but I will do it for a couple of weeks and see about lifting weights at home...
My weight is a staggering 206.8lbs... That is really hard to swallow.. I have never been over 200lbs in my life, but now I am... This will be the last time I see this number though!!
My goal is not so much a number but they was I want to look.. But I will but a number down as an initial weight-loss, so I would say about 130lbs would be a good weight for me...
I'm looking for to getting away with A. this summer and I want to look hot doing it..
 
Good Morning Post Readers!!!
I'm eating a banana and writing this post.. Yesterday I did manage to get to the gym, I did a grueling hour of cardio.. Between the treadmil which i only got through half of the couch to 5K app on my phone, but I still continued on with other cardio, atleast I got through half!! I did not do any strength training yesterday, I was exhausted after the gym.. Right now my priority is getting my cardio stamina up, more then lifting weighs, and yes I know muscle burns fat, but still I have my priorities. When I was reading a article yesterday about Katy Perry I found a picture of her vitamin schedule and she takes lots of vitamins like I do... I could name a few them when looking closely at the bag.. So that made me feel good because I really admire her!!

Ok back to focusing on weight-loss..
So yesterday I was not very hungry.. It was not until 10 pm that I decided to eat something for dinner.. I'm kinda craving a kale salad right now, but I have some work to do...
Also A. and I have the most honest relationship a couple can have, and when I asked him, does it look like I gained even more weight, he told me that I'm starting to get the fat flab over the back of knee and the elbows... So YIKES!!!! better change that really fast.. I have about 10 weeks...
I may post tonight... Have a Happy Healthy Day!!!
 
Hey its A. here....Tuesday and day 2 of this diet log.

Some days, you wake up and weigh yourself, only to see that you didn't lose any weight.

Well today ain't one of those days!

The scale was kind this morning and I'm down 2 pounds. It's a nice reward for safe eating on Monday. My biggest splurge item yesterday was a banana...I think the rest I ate was some eggs and only raw veggies.

However We had NO bike ride yesterday !! But I did go for a long walk with some jogging sprints with the dog in the afternoon

And I was "rewarded" early this morning with a ripping cramp on my leg...woke me up and ruined my sleep in.

It's feeling better now.

Very nice to see J. taking a big trip to the gym yesterday! Would love to go for a bike ride soon if we have time.

My top ten ways to beat stir crazy bordem eating... which we are all guilty for... Before I go on to that, A. said something to me earlier today that I would like to share with you that is very ground breaking... It's a way of looking at food.. So You wouldn't go to the gas station and say, I can't wait to see the colour of the gas, or smell the aroma of the gas, I have been looking forward to filling up my car all day... So why would you say that about food, when it is essentially the gas or energy for your body, instead of looking at it as a reward look at it as plain and simple, filling up your body.. I personally think that is why dinner went so well for me tonight, because i could feel my stomach getting full and stopped... I did not keep eating because it was good, I stop because my body was full...
So there is a little bit of info it may be deep and profound, or maybe just stupid... but it worked for me!!!
I also want to thank A. for putting our little "bodybars" (the weight loss meter thingy in his post) up.. It's fun and adds some perspective on the weight loss...
SOOOOOOO, now for my post about ten things I do to beat the stir crazy bordem eating..

5. find a sexy picture of what you want to look like and use it as your cell phone background

6. DUST!! that's right, dust or clean windows, you will burn calories and have an ultra clean house

7. Get the size charts from your favorite stores

8. watch a youtube make-up video so you can seduce him even more with that hot bod

9. show your man or woman how much you love him, write a poem or a sexy love note

10.My Personal Favorite, LEARN SOMETHING... whether about a fruit or vegetable, or even what the longest english word is...just something..

Hello all it's A.

Thanks to the well wishers, its really nice support.
We've been really busy and unable to update but the weight loss continues!

I'm down to 192, which is a miracle given two nights ago I ate a huge peanut butter and chocolate sundae...and the night before that, 5 slices of pizza. but J and I had something MAJOR to celebrate!

Really hope for some treadmill/eliptical time today! Bye for now we are going grocery shopping :)
 
Andrew here...

WOW summer slowed things down for me. Didn't post at all.

Anyways, here's an update. I'm at 188 lbs now. Long way to go but losing around 0.5 a day on a new meal plan. If anyone cares, it's zero carb (well, under 10g), eating six meals a day. Never feel hungry and energy is good, so I'm eating the right stuff, it would seem.

I;ll be updating more often. not my ticker though I am too busy for that!!
