Diary of a Pudgy Peanut

LMAO @ Mrs Green Jeans!!!

Does it really burn that much?!?!?! :D Cool!!! LOL

Wow! You've been busy! I'm really thrilled about the amount of exercise you're getting in. How do you feel (other than the sore butt from gardening?) I know what you mean about not wanting to give up on the 2 miles even when your knee hurts, I get that same feeling, and I just walk it too. I read somewhere that walking and running use almost the same number of calories per MILE (but a mile takes much longer if you walk it). The funny thing was that fast walking (like 4.5+ mph) used more calories than slow jogging because if you're walking so fast you feel like breaking into a jog you're burning even more calories if you keep yourself in that speed-walk. Fast running still burns loads of calories, but exercise is exercise and we'll take it however we can get it, right?

sore butt? yup! and thighs and calves and arms and shoulders - need I go on?! LOL

I CAN'T give up my runs! If I have to go at 8 or 9 pm I will - I really have missed going like I used to but its been SO rainy here! THis has been the first good week all summer - not kiddin'!

I'll take a calorie burn any way I can get it! If its running or walking or other activities ;) I'll take it! LOL

Thanks, you've just motivated me to get off my lazy butt today. I was having a lazy day, but not anymore. I'd hate to let you down! :D

LMAO!!! Have you seen me in bib overalls??!!!!? NOT sexy !!!! LOL Although I do have 'em

Ah, can't say as I'd raise lettuce and garden nude!!! LOL I have too many ah, undesirable types of neighbors who may call the cops!!! (Well, what passes for the police dept. here on our island  ) LOL

Hope you've had a lovely weekend B though it's nearly over now (sob sob)
mushroom fungus!LMAO @athletes foot!

Actually, I have Mondays off over the kids' school vacation :D hehehehe BUT I still have to go to neighbor-mans and clean - basically my time though :D

Okay, so if this headache doesn't get any better I won't be getting in my run today :( Its making its way steadily towards migraine right now so I'm gonna pop my pill and wait for it to conk me out

So far this morning...

2 slices light toast (1)
1T PB -refusing to think of all the peanuts "killed" in the making (2)
1T homemade honey (1)

yup. thats it - tummy isn't gonna handle much more right now

Will try to get back later :D

Well, its only a nag now (after sleeping almost another two hours  ) so on with my day :D I can't guarentee I'll get that run in but I sure will get in some form of exercise that I can do closer to home - just in case  So far, on my schedule is more weeding, helping hubby strip and paint molding, and housework... I would like to get in a run but that depends on my head at this point:( I used to get migraines at least once a week and had to get b-shots and morphine until I started taking a B supplement and magnesium. Now when I forget to take the supplements for too long (2 days or so) I get my headaches again

Hows this for Points advantage? LOL WHen I got up I was kind hungry so...

2 boiled egg whites (0)
2 tsp FF Miracle whip (0)
5 olives (1)
1 slice light wheat bread (0)

heheheh so I had a 1 pt egg and olive sandwich - and it tasted just like my full-fat-for-hubby version! LOL :D:D

Well, off to GENTLY do things

migraines and headaches are the worst :( Sorry you get them too. Mine are usually just day long nags that won't seem to go away, but Josh gets full blown migraines every so often... its terrible to not be able to help someone you love in pain. Though I'm glad it went down, so you can at least get *something* done.

Oh I didn't realize you suffered from migraines. They're the worst! My mom and sisters get them. I have had 2. The worst! My mom has had some success controlling them through diet - cutting sugar, no nitrates, no red wine, no eggplant, no chocolate. I think she also keeps her stomach from being completely empty as well.
I hope you feel better!

Mal, thank you :D I feel so guilty though when I can't pack each day to its fullest  I know, I'm weird :p LOL

Beagle, mine usually last two - three days - there are a lot of variables that decide how many days, unfortunately. This one started late yesterday and I had hoped it would be gone as soon as I woke up - not so lucky :( I have gotten things done but make sure I stay out of the sun as much as I can and drink LOADS of water :D

Laurel, I have been pretty lucky since I started the b-complex and magnesium. I dont' get them as often as I once did. I also have to be careful with all the stuff your mother does, including the empty tummy. Though no ONE thing alone will cause it, the barometric pressure is enough to set it off :(

your meatball sub-less salad dinner sounded delicious. *drools all over Cassie's journal*
and... hmm. cherries too. *drools some more*

:p

Hope you feel better today. *gives her two extra aspirins*

Hey Peanut! I did extra exercise on your behalf today, so don't worry about it! I should tell my mom about the b-complex and magnesium, she's taking strong prescription meds for hers (she's an RN, and the MDs are always prescribing drugs, not nutritional supplements) she has terrible nutritional habits, I'm sure that doesn't help. The woman still eats MSG for crap's sake!!! I think medical professionals are some of the worst when it comes to their own health! OK, sorry for the tangent there. How are you doing other than the nasty headache? How are you feeling after running so much lately?

HI all! It sure paid to be "gentle" on myself today since my headache is gone - SOOO relieved! I hate it when they go for so long.

Skinny, I'll have to take a moment to think about it - don't wanna tax the ol' noggin too bad! LOL

C, oh, it IS good!!! You can't even tell its ground turkey! (sometimes I mix mushrooms in with the turkey so its even almost "veggie"! I actually don't even miss the meat and cheese :D Drool anytime, just remember to wipe your chin! :D hehehehe

MP, I sure appreciate it! The only exercise I got was finishing the weeding (about 15 minutes) and running up and down a ladder while helping hubby mask and paint the camper we're restoring  I started taking the supplements b/c they were less painful, less expensive, and more convenient (sp?) than the shots and meds that they had me on  Since then, I have always tried to find a homeopathic way to deal with things and felt better for it in the long run :D Your tangents are always welcome - I've been known to go on a few myself :D hehehe The running hasn't bothered me at all. I was more sore from weeding than the running has ever made me! LOL GO figure! LOL

It has been a relaxing day despite the heat and boppin' around doing all sorts of minor things :D My parents came for dinner and for a chat b/c we haven't seen each other for a while and we're all so busy all the time that we barely manage phone calls. They live 45 minutes away and, for them, it seems like they live as far away as my favorite Nuthead!

well, dinner was SPICY (and I mean spicy!) chicken & veg. soup with rice :D Boy that made us all suck in the water like it was goin' out of style - something I consider a happy accident! LOL

so..
Spicy soup (9) - I had quite a bit and had the points

total points: 24

total water:3 liters :D
