Diary of a hopeful loser

Don't worry about the chocolate you're doing fabulous!! 8lbs is wonderful!!! Keep it up :)

Thanks for the encouragement, I am slipping back into bad habits at the weekend, but I will get back on track and get on with losing weight, because I am so happy that I have been losing weight thanks to this forum!!

wk3 day 6 - I have stuck to the points today, but the weekend was not so good, I have to weigh in tomorrow, I hope I have lost some more weight!!!!

Wow your weight loss is looking amazing, way to go. You are truly inspiring. Hope you have a good day today!

Thanks so much for you support ladies. Weigh in day aarrggghhhhhhhh!!! I knew I shouldn't have had that wine and chocolate on Friday night, I put on weight so easily it's ridiculous :( . I am embarrassed to say that I only lost 1lb this week, so although on fri I was 12st 10, today I was 12st 12lb or 180lbs, but I suppose it's better than nothing:rolleyes: . I must again, make sure that Fri and Sat night treats are incorporated in my points. I think I need to join a challenge again, that really motivated me. Good luck to you both for your future weight loss.:)

Thanks Scrappy, today I am still sticking to the points and I will stay focussed, I don't mind week days, because I am so frantic at work I don't have time to think of food. It's just those Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons!!

week 4 day 3 - I have stuck to the points today again, it always seems to be that I only lose weight every 3 days of dieting? I wish it would hurry up and shift more quickly!!!!

Congratulations on sticking with the points today!!! Your gonna meet your goal in no time!!

Thanks Christina, I got on the scales this morning and I was 12.10lbs/ 178lbs, so although I only change my ticker on Mondays, I have lost 8lbs so far now!! I really have to be careful at the weekend though because that's when a couple of pounds can go straight back on!

Cate! That is wonderful! I dont understand what is wrong with me.. on the weeks that i do great and do not eat junk food and stay at my calerie range.. I dont lose... Then when i dont lose I get discouraged then go for the junk food the next week! I haven't figured out why I haven't been losing yet. Hope you have a great weekend!

Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving, we don't celebrate it in the UK like you do, our Christmas is like your Thanksgiving I think!
Christina, I know what you mean because I can really stick to my points for days even a week and nothing happens, but if I persist I wake up one day an the expected weight loss suddenly shows. I try only to expect to lose 2lbs a week which is a lot of flab if you think about it. It really is about determination and persisting. Yesterday I stuck fast and got through Friday night when I usually like to treat myself. I hope I can stay focussed today.
Love Cate x

:( oh...:( dear........:( I didn't count points after 3 glasses of wine last night and today...............:( my family were having a roast chicken with all the trimmings and it smelt so good that I couldn't resist...........:( . I dieted all week, and now I know that just one weekend will put all the weight back on.....:( . I very much doubt that tomorrows weigh in will be anything to celebrate...........:(

I have decided to weigh in on fridays from now on as that is when my weight loss shows, if I weigh in on Mondays, I get disheartened as I find it hard to be strict at the weekend. Last week I had lost a total of 9lbs, but this weekend has ruined that loss. I would have been really happy if I'd weighed in on the Friday as from Monday to Friday I stick well to the points.

If weekends are so hard on you, then I'd definitely switch to weigh in on Fridays. As a matter of fact, that sounds like a good idea for me too. You are doing fine. As long as you aren't losing too fast, you know you are being healthy. Remember 1 or 2 pounds a week is what doctors recommend so based on that you are doing fantastic! Keep it up and don't get obsessed. Concentrate on the fact that you are improving your health through good eating habits and the weight won't be a problem. SMILE!!!:D

Thank you April, you have cheered me up!:)
