diary of a crayon.

Thanks, and yeah, I definitely agree. I love the dress. C:

I feel like I've fallen off the wagon a bit these past few weeks, but I'm ready to get back into it. Today I got up for a shift at good ol' safeway, downed a coffee, and had an extremely repetitive 'training shift' from 8:15 to 12:15, haha. After that I had arbys chicken (360 calories according to the website) and diet pepsi, then I napped for like three hours.. hahaha. The first bit of school is so difficult sleep-wise. Two morning of getting up at 7 is hard on me (being the lazy teenager I am). :p Another cup of coffee and a couple crackers (150 cals?) later and I'm about ready to start my workout, which was an easy 35 minute run on the treadmill, some strength training (crunches, dumbbell arm moves, girly pushups, squats, etc etc etc), and another 25 or so minutes on the exercise bike. Plus two bouts of stretching, after the run and after the rest of it. After that I made myself a chicken sandwich with a little butter and salt, a handful of almonds, a few little slices of marble cheese, and now I'm munching on pickles, carrots, and cucumbers. Hopefully the snacking monster doesn't get me tonight.

It's been a while! And it's been a busy week. I'm doing pretty well though food and exercise-wise. I've been eating regularly throughout the day, usually cereal (like multigrain cheerios) for breakfast, a sandwich of some healthy sort at lunch and maybe some fruit or yogurt or a granola bar or something, and so on for the evening. I skipped working out on Wednesday and Thursday, the latter for a concert and the former for something I truly can't remember. Oh yeah, errands and a movie with my mom, and homework, haha. But pretty much for the days other than that I think I got some good runs in. School is grrrrrrreeeeeat so far, but I was dead by friday night, haha. Had a few more shifts at work.

Like I said a while back, I gained some pounds back just being an idiot, but today I managed to weigh 150, which honestly surprised me because I haven't really been restricting or anything- just being smart. Maybe it will be up tomorrow haha, but I hope not! Today I had a few garbage things, like a chocolate bar and a Swedish cinnamon bun, but that's okay because weekends are okay that way. :p

Oops, I accidentally deleted a paragraph of what I wrote, so I'll sum it up quickly: today I ate a lot of crap because I was bored, ran an hour biked 15 mins, weighed 150, determined to make this week a good one! Nightnight.

Hope work and school are both going well! Congrats on 150, I'm looking forward to getting to that point. I remember way back when I hit 140 and that was exciting, and now I'm just hoping for 150.... ::sigh:: But enough about me, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thanks Laura! Don't worry, you can do it! :) Any goal is great to have.

So I'm sorry it has been ages! I've been really sick these past two weeks, with a flu that went through my family and hit me last. :( It had a bunch of crazy symptoms, and was just generally horrible, and stole the life from me for two weeks. I'm better now though, just have some more crap in my lungs that I've been coughing out, and like a congested cold-feeling. But nothing compared to the past little while!

I haven't done any running or anything in a good two weeks, simply because walking up the stairs put me out of breath and coughing. I am planning on doing a light run or something tomorrow, but today was too busy with school and work. I ate a lot of garbage while sick because I felt sorry for myself (lol, I admit it), but I also didn't have much of an appetite for a lot of the time, so I'm down to around 148 on the scale. Only two pounds in two weeks, but I wasn't even thinking about weightless, so that's okay with me, haha.

Hope everyone's doing well!

I am glad that you are losing weight.I would suggest though trying to eat some healthier lower calorie food. This way you will be able to eat MORE while still only consuming the same amount of calories. This will leave you feeling more satisfied and you will probably get sick less.

Don't worry haha, I don't think my diet has anything to do with my being sick. When I say I've been eating garbage, it's sort of an exaggeration.

BUT GUESS WHAT, I HAVE PNEMONIA. SO I CAN'T DO ANY RUNNING OR ANYTHING. I have to take antibiotics for another nine days, and it might still be hanging around after that. I fucking hate this. I can't be sick for a month! It's fucking stupid. I hate my goddamn germ infested school and shitty immune system.

Ok, It just sounded like you ate a fair amount of junk food most days and didn't eat as much 'regular food'. I think nearly every post contained some kind of junk food so I just wanted to point that out so you were aware.

pizza at midnight, chocolate, sorbet, and later some dairy queen, kid sized dairy queen cone, few chips and a few five cent candies, venti iced latte, red liquorice, pizza and a snow cone, gummy worms, small soft serve ice cream cone, a handful of fries, and a reasonably large cinnamon bun, ice cream sandwich and too many chips, chocolate bar and a Swedish cinnamon bun.

It also sounds like you often go all morning and early afternoon without eating much of anything, this will help lead you to those temptations and to eating more in general in the afternoons and evenings just b/c your body feels so hungry.

That's too bad about your pnemonia. I really do think that you wouldn't have such a bad immune system if you were able to get some more healthy food in.

I wish you luck and success in your weightloss efforts!!:biggrinjester:

Haha okay MysticRealm, I'll give you that. I was just frustrated when I read your post, because I really have been eating significantly better this September compared to august, which is where most of those examples of horrible food came from. Summer is extremely difficult for me with all my friends and family, but at least I don't drink. I'd just like to mention, a venti iced latte is coffee and nonfat milk! That is not a garbage drink.

Unfortunately I haven't posted much at all in September, which is when school started and I really make an effort to eat in the morning and afternoon because I have to fuel my brain. With honours courses, a job, volunteering, university apps, etc, I have to feed myself well. I don't appreciate being reminded of old mistakes, but considering my posts do all look pretty awful, I'm not offended, haha. The problem is that I come here and post when I've had a bad day and want to get back on track, so of course every post is going to make me seem like I eat horribly. I don't post every day, and I don't have time to list every single thing that goes into my mouth, so I'm more likely to admit everything bad I did rather than brag about my good choices or good days in general.

As for my immune system, the flu was in my house for an entire month before I caught it. My sister got it in mid august, my brother got it at the end of august, and my dad got it beginning of September. I am ALWAYS around my siblings, and I'm quite sure they coughed and sneezed and whatever all over every inch of the house anyway. I fought off that bastard flu for a long time, but it got me anyway. Plus I would say a good 60 percent of my school is sick with something or other right now. But I'm contradicting myself, since I stated in my last post that I have a shitty immune system. That's what I always seem to say when I'm sick and pissed, but I know I'm just getting my fair share of fall sickness. -.-

ANYWAY thank you so much for paying so much attention to my eating habits, haha, sorry for the gigantic pointless rant, and good luck to you too!! :)

Haha it feels like it, Laura! It's such a pain! But I'm gettin' better. :)

I woke up at 6:30 in the morning today to go walk 5k for breast cancer today (CIBC Run for the Cure, so much fun and so inspiring!), so I'm nearly falling asleep here! Today honestly was a healthy food day. I still can't run, but I walked a lot, easily 10k throughout the day, so I'm at least staying on my toes while these antibiotics give my lungs a helping hand.

I was not trying to bring up past mistakes, I was trying to be helpful. From the sounds of your posts it sounded like you maybe didn't realize that you were eating certain foods as much as you were. And more importantly that you weren't eating enough 'regular foods', so were maybe 'starving' yourself of nutrition. It sounds like you have it under control now which is great. I was just going by your past posts. I honestly was trying to help.

Sorry to hear that you have been feeling so ill.
It's a lot more difficult to eat well in the summer when your routine is all upside down. Reading the diaries here lots of people have gone off track half way through the summer and are now struggling to get back on but we can all do it :). Don't overdo the exercise until your lungs are 100%

I know MysticRealm, which I really do appreciate. My posts would definitely give that impression, but unfortunately (or fortunately, however you wanna look at it) I am painfully aware of any bad choices I make throughout the day. I used to snack and eat foods for no reason (talking like a year ago), but if I ever eat a bad thing now, it's a conscious decision. You can't always deprive yourself, especially in the summer and in certain company.

Thanks eyckmans. :) Yeah I've noticed that too. I think summer is definitely harder for people. However there is much more time for me to work out during the summer. Like I love being able to run for an hour and a half without having to worry about what other things I could be doing.. which I can't really do now haha, except maybe once on the weekend. Yeah the doctor I saw was really quite serious about me taking it easy, so I'm listening. :( Hahah.
