But its hard being in a family full of overweight people that are totally fine with being over weight!!!

I know! I don't like to see the people I love being overweight like they are but I'm hoping that if I start to lose weight and look healthy, they might catch on and start to become healthier too. Sometimes I just feel like crying because my 13 year old brother's chin is no longer recognisable :(

Congrats on getting healthy at such a young age! I waited till a lot older and missed out on a lot of opportunities growing up! My stretch marks and loose skin wouldn't be nearly as bad if I would have paid more attention to my eating habits when I was 16!! I know you will have great results! Stay strong and consistent and always continue at the gym! Looking forward to reading more! Keep it up!

So ive decied; That i will no longer measure my success by saying "Oh guys i did 45 minutes on the treadmill today!" or something. Cause thats lame.
Im gonna tell people.."Hey guys, i walked 2 miles on the treadmill and 10 miles on the bike!"

Cause i think that sounds alittle more achieving...If thats a word.

So guess what guys

I did 10 miles on the bike and .69 on the treadmill!
I have to stay away from the treadmill for a bit though. I had a job interview last week and the shoes tore open some very nasty blisters on my heels.

eeek.

So i was thinking about it
I think; My newish work out plan will beee

Mondays: 20miles on the bike
5 miles on the eliptical
Leg workouts
Tuesdays: 15 miles on the bike
Arm and ab workouts
Wednesday: See monday
Thursday:See Tuesday
Friday: see monday
Saturday: see tuesday
Sunday:rest day

6 days a week: 20 mins in Sauna....My reward:)
Or something like that. Any tweaks or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

And ive also decided i want to become a runner. I know what you all are thinking. "Become a runner? How do you do that" Well...First of all...When i say runner i mean someone who competes in marathons or 5k's. And is good at it.
Im going to start running at home; Like around my block or something. To start training. Im reading up on how to train successfully without injuries or bordom and all that junk :)

Oh and turns out; Watching Movies on my Ipod while working out works REALLY good! time FLYS!

There are lots of us here that have started to run. flumes, jjjay, tigpuppy are some of them. I can now run 7km without slowing pace. My goal was to run 5k by the end of September but I did that and then did 6 and then 7 so should easily do 8 by then if not more. We all absolutely love running and cheer each other on. Jjjay is the one that started us all off and got us running and now there are a few more people starting because of reading our diaries.

LOL, you think you have got problems, try waiting until your 53 like me :ack2:

Just thought I'd say, loved your opening message, and your comment (something about a gorilla?) very very funny!

totally can relate to what your saying I'm 19 now but in high school I was the fat one and all my friends were teeny tiny, (I'm 203lbs) and it SUCKED! Especially the whole, I'm so fat thing.
It's like yeh, you're enormous in your Size 6 jeans..

Anyway, hope it's going well for you, good luck! :D

Houston we have a problem.
My arms are getting wimpier. Not stronger. :( Its very discouraging. Today was a weight day. But i could only do 20lbs on my arms. Because they are lame. I dont know whats going on :( I just couldnt lift it. I tried so hard. It just wouldnt move!
But my tummy is getting stronggerrr! Omg. I can start to see little mini ablets under the fat. Like up right under my boobs in the skinniest part of me i can see them! Thats pretty exciting!
Tomorrow is a cardio day. 1hr on the bike. :)
Did 25 miles yesterday. Kept my heartrate at 165 pretty steady :D
 
Don't worry about the arms, you were just having an off day. I find the same with running. Sometimes I feel as though I could run for ever and other days it's an effort to do a couple of kms. Just keep up with it and you'll soon be strong. I'm now up to 20kg weights on my arms but some days I have to go back down to 15kgs.
 
I was at the gym today, And i was reading a glamour magazine. I know, bad choice!
But i couldnt help myself! So i was reading it, and i came accross dozens of "loose 10 lbs over night" type ads. It was horrific. Well; Thats a strong word...but still!

And then i came to this article about "real women." I scoffed outloud! This "real women" was saying how she was glad she was concidered curvy. Last i checked; being a size 5 is NOT curvy.
I wish the media and people would quit saying a size 5 is curvy. Okay if size 5 is curvy then what am i? Im a 16. Does that make me a circle or something?
