Diary of a cheese Soldier

mmmm cheese haha tell me about it... I now have a craving for some nice creamy bree cheese... damit!

Your lunch for 24th sounds niceeee, and what on earth is 'gunpowder,' green tea?!
Sorry to hear about your dad, but glad you have the support of your wonderful partner and friends!

My poor lil metabolism has been in hibernation for so long and needs a good kick up the arse and a SSHHHHAAAKKKEE!

ROFL :smash:

Almond butter? Yummm. Do you buy yours at the store? I made some a while back, but I haven't made a new batch. And is the vegitarian (sp?) sushi just rice and cucumbers or sthing of the sort? Oh, the name of the show is Cash Cab! People get in thinking it's a normal taxi ride, and then are surprised and play the game. If they miss 3 answers, they have to get out wherever they are! Always thought it would be fun to be in that situation, but we don't really use a lot of cabs here...more in New York City or thereabouts. Awww I like the bit about the margarita (very astute of you to remove the calories first lol)! How about some cheese as well?! Just kidding! Better not! Sorry about the weather and your father's situation as well! Maybe it's a blessing in disguise and he'll find something better! And don't get too discouraged about the fish. I think he'll start speeding up soon! Take care! =)

Try not to become despondant about not losing weight. If you stick with it the weight WILL go. Often it's just something silly like not drinking enough water and ending up retaining water or eating too much salt with the same result. Have you taken your measurements yet as it's great later on to see the inches drop off?
Sorry to hear about your Dad's job and I hope it get sorted out especially as it wasn't even his fault.

Heyyy there Roxy! How you doing gurl? I buy my almond butter from a health food store over here called Holland & Barrett... have you heard of that? I'm not sure if they are a global store or not. They sell all sorts of healthy stuff... vitamins, chocolate for diabetics, fat free, gluten free.. it's like a specialist store. You're brave for making the butter yourself lady! I'm sooo not that ambitious, lol! Does your butter taste the same as store bought or better? ;) The veggie sushi is really yummy. You get 2 with rice and cucumber, 1 with rice & red pepper & 1 with... low-fat cream cheese (mmmmm) and chives - tasty! Not really a lover of raw fish sushi so tend to stay away from that - bleeerrrggg!

DMR - Ya know, I have N clue what gunpowder green tea is myself! My friend at work gave me some because I'd run out of regular green teabags. So... I looked over a few websites and apparently...

"Gunpowder green tea is a great breakfast and "coffee break" green tea.
It is recommended for people trying to reduce their coffee intake, as the taste appeals to coffee lovers.
The highest quality gunpowder teas have a naturally sweet and soothingly mellow taste. In the better grades, the pungency is balanced and smooth, rather than harsh.
These brewed teas may occasionally have a hint of smoky notes, and there is usually a light lemon aftertaste"

There! We are now educated! WOOOO! *high 5*

Daybehaviour - Why thank you... *blush* But I wouldn't totally agree I'm afraid... I'd say mine is equally cool as other peoples :) I really enjoy reading some of the diaries round here. Whilst we are on that topic... WHYYY don't you have one? :p *taps foot*

Ecky - Thanks for your support lovely... and I think you're absolutely right. It was just bad timing for the weigh in. You know, when I weighed I was on... and I totally forgot about how my period may affect things! DOH! Soooo I'm bound to have a better reading this week. And yes, I have measured and 2 inches have slid off my tummy! Also I don't wear jeans/pants/trousers much... but I put n my size 16 jeans yesterday.. and they are starting to slide down!!! :D

Helllllloooo! So the dreaded snow stayed at bay for a few days (yay!) and we had the first flurries throughout last night. Peered out of the window this morning & there was a thin white blanket :) But that didn’t stop me walzing down to the gym!!!

Just got back from an hour long boxing circuit class and MAN did the instructor ever put us through our paces! I had to have a 5 min rest after 45 minutes as I was feeling quite dizzy from it all! But, I picked back up and got on with it. I feel incredibly refreshed, a little lightheaded and a bit achy. My boyfriend was supposed to come to class with me but he got right up to the gym door.. and decided he couldn’t do it because he was too anxious. He’s not overweight.. quite the contrary.. he’s one of those lucky so-and-so’s who can munch through an entire bakery and still stay the same weight.. but he’s not really a people person and sometimes gets panicky when he has to perform in front of people. I was a little disheartened that he didn’t come.. Because I’ve only been to this class once before and had to partner up with the instructor because everyone had someone to pair up with.. and guess what? I had to partner up with the instructor again today. :/ I would kinda like a someone of my own at some point.. but I don’t really know anyone round my area. Hmmm. That won't stop me going though. I enjoy the class too much!!

Decided to take some of you guyseses advice this week and lay off the cow juice.. which has been tough. However, I took Want2Lose’s advice & have been combating the milk cravings with yoghurt.. which totally works and gives me no nasty side effects! (thanks guys!!) I’ve also bought this odd milk that has nothing to do with cows.. cos it’s made of oats!! () It looks like slightly cream-coloured water & tastes vile on its own.. but I hardly notice the difference in cereal and tea! And again, no nasty side effects.

In other news, I’m doing well with the counting up to 1200 calories every day. I’m becoming a bit of a label freak :p I’ll check and check some more before I even think about putting anything near my lips. Am pretty confident this weigh day on Weds will be a good one. If not, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. :) We’re off to see the new Harry Potter movie tonight (WOOOO!!) so I’m gonna have some food beforehand and take some healthy snacks. Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!! :D x

Hey Cheesy! How ya been? I haven't heard of the Holland and Barrett store...sounds neat though. I like the butter I made. Didn't add any sugar or salt to it (can if u want though). Just roasted the almonds in the oven for like 10 minutes and placed in food blender for couple of minutes till became creamy. The sushi sounds good too! Hope you're doing well. Glad you've been keeping up w/ the workouts! How was the film? I really enjoyed it. Saw w/ some friends...had to be caught up on the story line though b/c hadn't read the last few bks. How's the eating and all going? Harder this time of year w/ all the holidays and gym closures! Gotta keep at it though! Miss ya! Peace! =)

Label freak! hehe, I do the same too. Oat milk? sounds odd shall have to look into that.. Anywho how's the battle against the weight going Cheesy? :)

Roxy! - *throws hugs and calorie free jelly beans* I'm very well thanks love. Just been super busy! You doing ok? Hows the weather out there now? Has it cooled down and confused you back into a sweater? hahah :) Hmmm... I didn't really like the Harry Potter film to be honest. The last 30 mins were good... and I did shed a little tear when the lil thingy died (don't want to mention names as it may spoil it for those who intend t watch!) but other than that, I thought it dragged on a helluva lot and not much happened. Oh well... you win some, you lose some. I much preferred the films when they were full of magic and whimsy and not so goddamn dark!! Saying that.. I'll still see the last one when it's released because it'd be silly not to as I've seen all the others, lol! Who is your fave character in the Harry Potter films? x

DMR - Hallo you! Thanks for dropping by! *hugs* :) How are you doing Mr? How is your battle going? My battle is going well... and I'm just about to post an update so you shall see just *exactly* how it's going! Did you check out the oat milk? It's odd stuff but I'm kinda getting used to it! X

I thought that it was the best of all the HP films. I'm not usually that bothered about them but I really enjoyed this last one and will watch it again on DVD. The one before this one I didn't see until a couple of weeks ago and I fell asleep before it finished!!!

Glad you enjoyed it Ecky :) I still think the Goblet Of Fire is my fave by far! The film did have some good points and I didn't hate it... but the bits in the middle with all the roaming around and flitting between tents was just too droning for me. Didn't help that the cinema had the heating on to the max and I could have well fallen asleep, lol! I LOVED Helena Bonham Carter's performance in it. She scared the holy bejesus out of me!!! x

Howdy folkies! Hope every single one of you are doing good! For those non-UK peeps.. yes, we’re still getting snow, snow and more snow. Luckily my transport has been pretty reliable so far and all this white stuff has put me in a bit of a “romantic-about-it-being-xmas-soon” kinda mood. :)

ANYHOW, weigh day on Weds went really, really well. I’ve lost 4lbs (1.8kg)! So thats 5lbs (2.2kgs) in 3 weeks!!! :D :hurray::D People have started to comment on how flawless my skin is looking and how less chubby my face looks. I’m really proud! *blushes and gleams at the same time* All I need to do now is keep this up and try my best to stick in a little more exercise. I’ve been so busy with work, studies and other events going off all over the shop that I don’t feel like I’ve put my all into shaking my butt around a bit.

So.. I’m off to move my little fishy on my ticker, cook some food for tomorrow and maybe do a few sit ups. Here’s my foodie bit for the last few days!

Hey Cheesy!!! Hey Ecky (lol I saw ur post above)! How ya doing? It is getting cooler here unfortunately. The weather is so unpredictable! Are you frozen into a popsicle over there? I did enjoy the Harry Potter film but it helped having a friend explain the story to me the entire time (quietly). I understand how it could be dull in some scenes though! Hmmm not sure who my favorite character is. I like Hagrid for being so gentle and Hermonie (sp?) for her intelligence...Give me a little longer to think. Will see if my answer changes next time! Hope you're doing well Cheesy! Have you been able to work these past few days or is the weather preventing ya? Hope you're doing well girlie! Gotta run but will catch up I promise! Take care friend! =)

Awesome job! It really is so motivating and gratifying when people start to notice your weight loss :) Your nutrition is still so spot on, too. I'm quite envious :D

Hey girlie!! Just wanted to make sure you're still around!! Don't go off being buried in the snow! =p Hope you're doing well!

Where have you dissapeared to? Did you go down to Hitchin last weekend. My friend was playing down there in a group. Last year I was there watching him.

Hey guys! *waves* Hope you're all well & ready for the Christmas period? I'm not dead... Just been swallowed whole by work commitments & also busy with preparation for Santa day. Will update & catch up with you all very soon! :) Merry Christmas! x

Hey Cheesy! Glad to see you're still in the land of the living :)
Merry Christmas mate, hope you get some time off soon :hug2:
Hope the big fella :santa: brings you something cool tomorrow!
