Diary of a Army Wife...

Dear Dairy,

After struggling with my weight the last eight years, it is time for a fresh new start. My hubby is deployed right now (which will make this alot easier to get started). He left in June which at that time I was 230 lbs. (my highest yet). I didn't think much of it until my graduation for College in Aug. I desided to "think" about losing weight again. With little effort I have reach 213 lbs. Imagine if I really commited which is what I am doing here.

My goal is to reach 170 by June which is the earliest my hubby may be home.
By then my routine will be in place and my hubby does well at adapting. My ending goal is 130 lbs.

I know I can do it. With the support of my new friends I'll be there in no time.

Welcome to your diary and good luck! I too was a Army wife...see my diary....we are now Army Free and happy as larks!!!
You can do ANYTHING you really set your mind to, so don't give up!

Here's to life changes(not diets)

Happy Saturday!
I have figured out how I am going to change my life style. I am going to use The Flat Belly Diet as a guide line. So I'm useing today as a prep day for the week. I'll go buy my food today so I'll be all set to start tomorrow. Yes I start these "Life changes" on Sunday's. It's always worked the best for me.
My kids are even backing me up. They know I'm concerned about me weight. They have been really cute about it. For example we had an appt after school one day this week. My son is a Type 1 diabetic on an insulin pump, so our eating is based around him. When we got out of the dr office it was time for dinner and we had a 45 min drive ahead of us. So we went out to eat. My oldest made sure I new they had salads, (which was my plan anyways). Usually when we go to this restraunt we have a dessert we share between the 4 of us. My son said "Mom I think we can skip our treat this time". By the way we only do the special treats very rarely. Anyways my son later told me at home that he remember me saying I needed help being reminded that I need to eat healthy. I was just so touched that my 7 year old was trying to help me better my life.
