Sara: LOL!! I guess I AM a machine!! :jump:

Yesterday's food:
Let's see, b-fast was Ezekial cereal and soymilk with some agave nectar (I have a sweet tooth, don't hassle me!) and low fat cottage cheese.

Lunch I made myself a sandwich, wiht baked, marinated tofu, mustard, hummus, avocado, cilantro and garlic (I had no lettuce). Mid afternoon I treated myself to a small serving of chocolate ice cream and cashews.

Dinner was weird. I was making a dish, but was famished because

I weight trained right after work--heavily, and it was very sucessful because I had the utmost concentration and visualized all the muscles and breathed properly.

Anyway, I have this wild rice/grain mix called "exotic rice blend" I wanted to make, but I was famished (BTW I did my walk to the beah, too). SO I grabbed 2 50 calorie totillas and measured out a 1/2 cup cheese for a 210 calorie quesadilla and ate a serving of soy yogurt. To my dismay we had no vegtable stock or peppers in my house. SO I took my buddy to Nob Hill where we got veggie stock, cherry tomatos and habaneros.

I love habeneros :hug2:
Anyway, I cooked the erotic rice in veggie stock, added a dash of sea salt, and in a pan, grilled fake chicken, cherry tomatos, onions, garlic, and 1 diced habanero. I mixed them up and served it to my buddy and myself. It was fucking good, man!! Erotic rice dish: approx 275 or so calories, I had very small portion. Then for dessert I had another small serving of vanilla soy yogurt.

I opened a bottle of Pinot Noir, Pelican Ranch, SCM, Remde vineyard, when the BF came home from his one-on-one dinner with Steve Wozniack!!! The woz loves my BF and wants to have dinner again. My BF is ecstatic. Apparently Steve loves his invention ideas (The BF is full of ideas!)

So....2280 calories. Not bad, seeming that maintenance is more like 2400. I'll get a better deficit today :)

Hmmm, I didn't know Steve Wozniack was responsible for the computer mouse. Apparently he used to work for HP, and his mouse idea was turned down four times. Fucking idiots! Oh well, Apple knew a good thing when they saw it :)

Go Apple! (Said Valerie from her Dell computer;))

Eeeeeeeuuuuuuu. That seal ridden water sounds horrible. You truly are something else Val! Can't wait to read the results in Sept; hopefully Bruce'll track them up again for us.

Mal and Tom: My buddy has a rap where he says ,

No bees in my bonnet!!

And EVERY time I hear that I Laugh My Ass Off. I dunno--the word "bonnet" is hilarious to me :rotflmao: Why? Who knows!! :rotflmao:

Bonnet!!
:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Then I mentioned the exotic rice and he mistakenly said Erotic Rice and then we started to shout,

NO BEES IN MY BONNET!! MY RICE IS EROTIC!!!

We're wackos. :rotflmao:

I am WRONG!!

THERE ARE NO SEALS IN SANTA CRUZ. THERE ARE BIG, LOUD, SEA LIONS!! THEY HANG OUT ON THE WHARF

I'm terrified the most of the sewage and the cold--next I'm terrified of seaweed and feces, then the sea lions.

Even worse! Sounds like the waters around NYC are actually less scary since we have all the muck and dirt and darkness minus Sea Lions (or seals for that matter). They must be cute from a distance?

They ARE cute. I like all creatures. But I'd rather not roll up in their 'hood, yadada sayin'? I saw one who beached herself. I was with my parents. I yelled we should roll her back in the ocean (she was awake), but they said no. They said she would bite me. They said she was choosing to die. They were right, but I felt really uncomfortable leaving her there.:(

Did you mean me when you said a conversation with Kelly? If so, what did I say? You are an awesome bartender. Its a fun if hectic job. Nice to read about your encounters with model and Steve Wozniak.

Hee hee! No, Kelly from Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery!! I like beer, too! :)

I'm not a bartender yet!! Haven't started yet, just got the green light, waiting to be scheduled for training.
Thanks! :)

Yesterday!

Good grief, I'm EMBARASSED about my intake.
Hmmmmm.....I consumed 900 calories in surplus yesterday! :eek2:

I did fine until after Kickboe, cereal, soymilk, low fat cottage cheese, cashews, Mejool dates, some chocolate, tofu sandwich. But then I took my housemates to the restaurant I now work at. We each had a fish taco and a drink. Then we had beer and shared a pizza. Then we went out for ice cream at Mary Ann's.

Mind you, the drinks did it--and the ice cream and pizza. I only had 2 slices of pizza and one scoop of ice cream but I'm not stupid--I know how calorie-laden that is, in reality!!!

Then the boys (BF was working an odd job moving cars) suggested we play dominos or cards. I said, "No, we're playing a GIRL GAME," and I said we were playing truth or dare. Man it got interesting!!! :rotflmao:

BF came home, we cuddled and I woke up hung over :(

BUT the important thing is I'm much better emotionally. Yesterday was a day of celebration from the norm. It was me feeling good about everything.

I can make up for that surplus!!! Hey--I just have to start training for the triathlon--start riding my bike like TOM!!! Yi-ah!!!

I have meal plan for the day, will do--weights today!

yeah, I have no doubt you'll whittle away at those calories training for your Tri! Remember how you did when you were training for your first race? :)

Go Val! Glad you had a great day yesterday!

Oh Beth! Thanks for the positivity!!

Meal Plans:

(Already Ate) B-fast: Berry wafflewich with almond butter, low fat cotage cheese

Snacky-snack: Cashews half serving 100 calories

Lunch: Tacos on the "bread substitute" tortillas (50 calories each, whoo hoo!) with fake chicken chunks sauted with habaneros, onions and garlic, with black beans, salsa, lettuce, avocado, and mango. It will be a hard task do do in very little time!!

Dinner: Erotic Rice. I may put sweet potatoes in it for added depth.

Exercise: Weights today. House chores!! SLeep

That's the plan, Sam!

It sounds like it was a fantastic day, it's important to have mellow days like that sometimes. Your meal plan sounds great and those tacos sound delicious! Have fun with the weights :)

Erotic rice? I'm not familiar with this... I may have to get my lonely self some of this erotic rice. ;) Heehee
I agree, your tacos sound amazing. I looooove habaneros!!

Thanks, Sara!

Deanne: LOL! Erotic rice is something I made up, but it has to do with the fact that the package says "exotic" and it's all mixed grains, including black rice and such. Yummy yum!

Update: Tacos were huge, let me tally the calories: wow, only about 470 calories!! A lot of stuff I put on there was lettuce and tomatoes and onions and a pepper and salsa....basically high-fiber shit that is low-cal as well. The highest calories were the tortillas (100), avocado (1/4 is about 70), chick n' (180), mango (60), and balck beans (very small portion, like 40 calories).

This is sweet! I'm nice and full! Not stuffed.

I found Mission corn tortillas have only 70 calories each and I use them for soft tacos....also chicken breast tenderloins contain about 110 calories for 3 pieces...you can get them in bags flash-frozen...you have to look around and check the calorie count (which is odd to me that they would vary so much).

Anywhoo...just thought I'd add that... :)
