Last Night
I did my Kickboe class and something weird happened. I think I pissed off my instructor's
wife by being in proximity to him
Background: I do NOT
ever flirt in my gym. I don't know why, but I see the gym as a sort of business and I mind my own, usually. I'm ususally concentrated hard on my workout, BUT will exchange friendly banter if approached. My instructor, Psycho Michael, is a very nice man. He is 29 and very laid back and healthy, mellow and funny. He has a slightly aloof attitude to him, even though he's warm, he's never "up in your face." Yes, he is handsome and has a great body, BUT in all honesty I have
never been attracted to him. EVER. You know how some people do it for you and others don't? Despite looks OR personality? Yeah. He doesn't. I don't for him. I can tell. We are friendly and nice to each other, but don't talk much.
Anyway, when I do class I
always am in the front (I don't like to be crowded, less people around me) and to the right of him (so I can see what he's doing--we copy him, obviously). I'm a creature of habit--I always work out there. Well, his wife doesn't always come in, and when she does she is usually in the back. I have brought them wine before, when I had Chard or something I didn't want--since I go there right after work. Anyway, she recently stopped acknowledging me, so I stoped tying to say hi.
Yesterday she was there, in the back. After the cardio portion we did Ab-Lab and she moved her mat next to me, in front of him. Then after Ab-Lab, right as I was walking away to put my mat back, I heard:
Her: "(something something something) Valerie."
Him: (reassuring tone) "Don't worry about Valerie."
What was going on? I thought! My blood ran cold. My mind raced with explanations. Did she think I was doing something inappropriate? Whatever she said, it wasn't good! I did not confront anyone.
But like I said, strictly business. I'm still going to go to the class, and I'm still going to be in my same spot. He
told her not to worry!
Update:
Yesterday I then went home and began cooking my
prawn dish. I drank most of a
stout while I cooked. I threw mint, garlic, jalepeno, white wine vinegar, sugar, and maple syrup in a Quizinar and made the
mint sauce, then sauteed the prawns in olice oil with a dash of sea salt and freshly ground pepper, served on a bed of
lettuce with
mango slices and cilantro for garnish, spooned on the sauce. The BF said it was delicious. I also ate the rest of my
erotic rice dish, and the mint sauce was so spicy, the BF and I opened a bottle of
Chardonnay that paired perfectly, and was nice and cool. It's WARM lately!

2245. Remember, all my food is very nutritious and high in fiber and protein, and I had 2 workouts. SO I certainly had a deficit.
This morning:
6:30-7:30 weight trained heavily. I was a bit tired from yesterday, so I did only 28 barbell squats instead of 40 (4 sets of 7 instead of 10) with 115 lb weights, and I only did 4 sets of 5 reps of 95 lb bench presses instead of 6 sets. I also did only one set of shoulder exercises instead of 2 with 20 lb dumbells. But I did the same other stuff.
B-fast: Triple Threat at 6:30 am before weights =
230 calories
2nd b-fast: I actually ate too much already--I had my higher-cal b-fast of a
Berry wafflewich with almond butter (
450)
and I had a
Large white bean dish that is in oil!!! How much calories? I have no idea! I'd say
400.
1080 already, nevermind the nutrition and high protein. What's more, I'm going to the Brewery with the Bf and our housemates after work for Happy Hour ($2.50 pints). I have a scallop dish planned for dinner, and I'll have 2 beers only. Lunch will be tacos with no avocado. YES I have a plan!
BTW I'm down to
142.5 lbs!
