OHHHHHH, Love the babie! he's cute! You have that model look about you in this picture, very pretty! and very natural. Now the water, it looks BURRRRR Cold! I used to go to this place called "Martin's Beach" when I was growing up, it looks a lot like that. Well, I'm off to sweat at the gym for two hours, I'm posting a pic this week too, I promised Sara I would and well, I never make a promises I can't keep. :) Lord help me! Enjoy your 4th

She's adorable! Her name's Genie. But I call her Hougenie because she can escape out of anywhere--she jumps over fences. Thank you! Model, har har, must be the Stunner Shades ;) Thanks, have a great 4th yourself!

Thank you! She's way cuter in real life. Some people HATE little dogs--I don't discriminate. She's not a yapper nor annoying--even people who don't like lil' dogs like her! Yeah, I want one but not until I have a stable living situation. Santa Cruz is NOT dog-friendly to renters.
 
Valerie you are beautiful. I love the dog, and the beach. I'm going to post a pic of my beach now! It's cool to see the differences. I agree with Kim, you have a model vibe.
 
Hey there! Thanks for the support.

I swim like a fish, and would love to get out there in the water, but I really don't want others to see me in a bathing suit at the time.

I did go walking outside today at lunch and on my treadmill at home this evening. I am going to try to do something in the morning, and evening for the next week and see how that turns out!

P.S. you look great!!
 
i just read about 5 last pages of your diary and then gave up. i see things have been happeing lately for you. i'm sorry to hear you and bf are having bumps on the road...then again as others have said, it might even bring you closer together.
me and my bf were apart for 9 months...and even if it did hurt as hell i surrounded myself with positive friends and positive things, i started exercising, i started going out more dancing, meeting new people. life was good :) now we're back together and things are different but for the better. i did us good to be apart. i'm sure you'll do what is best for you.

you're a strong woman val... you know what you want. and when people know what they really want they usually get it one way or the other :)

Hey Val, I've been there and I know how you feel. I'm like you too, I get lonely and I always like to have at least one guy interested me. Now that I've had the baby I feel different as we have each other so I dont need the love of a man half as much. Matter fact the H and I are on the outs right now, I'm having him stay at his family's house for a few days. I'm also exactly like you in the sense that all my exes like to keep in touch with me and per Ladybug's advice, I never ever go out on a sour note. There are definitely those harsh types like your boyfriend, but they usually come around and will keep in touch if you contact them..if things stay polite to the end they tend to really respect that after they think things through. But the month of July will certainly be an odd one for you and the BF. Sheesh!
 
Race Day

Ladies, thank for your support, I'll return to that later.

Our family kicked ass. My second cousin got 1st place overall at 15:59 for the 5K (he's "out of shape" right now he says). I got 1st place for women 20-24 at 21:02; my great uncle got 3rd place men 60-64, and gramps got 1st place men 70+. But there was only one other man who was 80 years old! Mom did not place but she was running for fun. Either way our name was called out 4 times, yi-ah! I suppose it is sort of genetic ;)

I realized that I am VERY VERY VERY lucky indeed. I have a lot of friends that have problems/strife/distance in their relationships with their families, and while I understand, I am sheltered from that. My family gets along famously and we all live in California (except a few in New Mexico on the tribe).

I learned that Pueblo of Acoma (Sky City, Haaku) is possibly the oldest continuously inhabited community in the United States! I'm very proud of my heritage I guess.

whoohooo congrats to you for the first place and off course to entire family :D i think its really awesome you have a loving and close family... i really miss my cousins and my family, especially from my dad's side since i really bonded with them the most. my brother is closer to my mom's side. however all of them are pretty far from us.
and you should be proud of your heritage. i used to be ashamed of mine but not anymore :D now i'm proud to be from a mixed marriage and being a part of two cultures.
 
You should absolutely be proud of your heritage! And I swear, it makes me so happy to see that your family is extremely healthy and happy. I wish more than anything that I could get my family to be as motivated as yours. My mom is the only one who has ever instilled that sort of lust for life in my mind, and seeing your family makes me very grateful that I do have someone who shares the same enthusiasm. I'm sappy today, I apologize. haha!:)

PC, I understand about the bathing suit anxiety--but if you love swimming, maybe you could find a suit that is flattering and you feel comfortable in? Either way good luck on your recovery! THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENT!!

Thanks so much and I really think this is the best bet for us, too! I am over my depressive stage, and yesterday we acted like when we were first dating--romance, love, no quarrels, great sex.....so we're just going to enjoy the last 2 months living together and enjoy life. That's the best thing! No doubt I'll be sad again when we actually move out, but there's nothing I can do until then. Except pack.

DON't WORRY, BE SAPPY!!! :)

I lucked out to have a family with members all interested in health and fitness. Mind you, we all like to drink! :beerchug: BUT at the race there was an 80 year old man in the 5K. The anouncer asked him, "What's your secret?" and the man said, "Oh well, just train and remember to have a nice cold beer when you get home!" My family all cheered ;)

People with a lust for life tend to eat a lot, I feel. I don't blame us :rotflmao: Anyway, you and I obvisously are working on our moderation--best wishes to both of us, it's damn hard, woman!!!!
