Thanks! The run was very beautiful, although my forest runs are even more beautiful in a way.

I HAD put a long post but WLF effed-up in the middle and I lost it :(

Basically, I'm on Day 3 and very crampy and bloated. I'm also tired. I worked only 2 three-hour shifts yesterday but went to sleep late. The BF is a sweetheart. But I believe we may be moving out end of this month, and he will most likely move to San Jose and I will check out the Aptos/Corralitos area (still Santa Cruz County).

It is SOOOOO HOT today. There's a stoopid dress code in this office--no shorts shorter than just above knee (skirts too) and shoulder covered. WTF, this office is ALL WOMEN.

Glad you enjoyed your run. And sorry about your annoying dress code. They really suck.
So you and your boyfriend will be trying something new? How long have you lived together? I hope the move will work out to be the change you need.

Oh man that is depressing. Whatever they do, I'm boycotting it. As a man, I am outraged by this.

Interesting dress code in that you can wear shorts at all but cannot show your shoulders.

So you and the BF are going to live apart and still date? Or take a break? Moving is tough....hope yours is a smooth transition all the way around.

Yes, currently we have been fighting too frequently and perhaps we need to live alone for a while. We've lived together since March 2006. We'd prefer the rest of the summer, but in winter he hates driving over HWY 17 to San Jose and no way in hell am I moving to San Jo, uh-uh!!

Hee hee! Is there something really sexy about a woman's shoulders for Pete's sake????

Hmmmm, still date, probably. I honestly don't know what will happen!

A moment in time with CYM

I was on lunch, and too tired to make something so I went to Seascape Natty Foods. I purchased glazed grilled salmon and a green salad with goat cheese, walnuts, and cranberries. I stopped and salivated over a pack of Gayle's French Bakery (local) cheese rolls with herbs de Provence. Man they looked good!!! I contemplated getting them, knowing there was no nutritional info on them and they were probably gastly high in calories. Probably 400+ a pop. I struggled, almost got them anyway, then in the last moment I thought of Cym and her will-power. I walked away. :)

Also, I almost bought a chocolate bar. ALMOST. I put it down, and instead, bought 2 very small individually wrapped chocolate pieces. The lunch was satisfying after, but before I was craving all these bad foods. I knew it was gonna go down like that--when I satiated myself with the healthy food the cravings would go away.

BUT! I had a Root beer float on account of the heat. I now can only have a small dinner, and I'm going running.

You know I can think of instances where I have found a woman's shoulder sexy, but I am more outraged about the short skirt and shorts policy. I hope things work out for you and your bf. Whether its together or apart, I hope you're both happy. I like the way you treat yourself and accomodate for it.

Val, maybe the policy is just aimed at you. Perhaps the customers are so busy looking at you that they are forgetting to buy wine! Perhaps tomorrow you should come to work in a burka! :D

Valerie, nice job on walking away from that heavenly cheese whatever. Sounds like it would be super tempting. I'm sorry you and the bf are moving out. You guys will figure out what is right to do, I'm sure the fighting will lessen if you don't get to see each other as much. :) I hope it works out though. I love love.

Thank you very much! Yesterday I was feeling low, so i asked him to write something nice about me (in an email). He wrote:

"You are an intelligent, competent, savage woman who knows how to kick ass and take names. Somewhat abrasive and with a tendancy to fly in the face of social conventions, your wit and demeanor wins over almost all who interact with you. Beautiful and atheletic, dainty and tough, you possess qualities envied by many. You work hard, you love life, what can i say? you are a great person, one of a kind, though not thankfully so. The world could use more of you."

I was flattered, but thought it sounded somewhat like a horoscope :rotflmao:

VERY sweet! But alas, all our customers are on the phone--no one ever comes in excpet UPS guys. And Office Supply deliver boys. Sometimes FedEx guys. No one ever creepy.

Wow! Great job on passing up on the bread and chocolate! I have been right there where you were and I know how HARD that is.....GOOD JOB! :)

Yummmm root beer float.....that's still probably a lot better treat than the other two! You did great, Val! :) :)

Thank you! Cheesy herbed rustic rolls, French-style. Glad I didn't get em, I would have eaten 2!

Thank you. We love each other SO MUCH it's amazing. But we drive each other crazy! We just need a break from living together, then maybe go back again. My biggest problem is trying not to date other guys. I attract em for some reason, and I have a hard time resisting a really cute one!

Hmmmm...IMO, I see nothing wrong with dating other people....maybe that is exactly what both of you should be doing (if both of you want to). Now is the time of your life to be out there finding out about yourself and trying out relationships.

Perhaps this will help you either realize that you ARE right for each other or you will find someone who is more compatible with your personality and discover something more satisfying and loving than what you (believe you) have now. It really IS about YOU right now....

I agree. Sometimes time apart can be very healing, even though it hurts like HELL. Matt and I broke up for a couple of months back in 2005 when things were getting kind of blah between us and it turned out to be a great thing. It made me realize that I couldn't feel the way about anyone else that I felt about him. Things have been amazing ever since. I love him more than ever. :)
