You and Cym are great examples for those of us that are trying so hard to get to where you are. Because the weight issues don't disappear once we get to a certain weight, our goals will change in the same way that yours are changing, and it's cool to see how you handle that. Maintenance and dropping the last few pounds are where I've struggled before and I think my problems with never being able to lose the weight in a healthy way (I'd just starve!) led me to where I am now. I love your resolutions! I think I'll be saying the same thing when I get there! :)
 
Hello! Just catching up! You'll lose those extra couple of pounds in no time :) I know you can do it :) Pouring wine sounds like fun - I like that drinking wine is in pros and cons ;) Wow on your BF's invitation to dinner being accepted by Wozniak - that's awesome!!

#4 But these are no excuses for eating junk and drinking too much alcohol--which is very important. I can be slim and fit, but if I'm eating junk, drinking, and not sleeping enough, it's still unhealthy--and it will catch up with me as the numbers creep up on the scale.

You have your priorities in order there. You are able to live as you think, as long as you put your mind to it. So I know you'll fight and win! :)

I love your determination Val. I just posted my pros and cons of teaching. Its amazing what you are willing to put up with for a job and what you won't do without. Its different for all of us.

Update:

Weekend was a blast--AND exhausting.

I ended up going home with a family to a BBQ after 5 yesterday. Something incredible happened, but too personal to post. If you're really really curious you can PM me.

Too much yesterday!


Today I'm eating great, and going to lift weights and plan my week--should I do it here?! :confused:

Will read diares slowly and eventually.....
 
I AM very very curious but I didn't want to deluge you with PMs about your "incredible" happening. What could possibly be so incredible at a family BBQ. Hmmmmmmmmmnnnn.

I'm so stupid!

DUH! I'm on my period--here I was bummed that I gained a few. Day 6 and I'm down to 142.5. YAY!!!

Weights yesaterday were fantastic! My body is looking excellent, my only complaint is my bunny chub love handles. I have a goal of 140 by the 28th of this month, which is quite doable--in fact, I could be at 139 by then if I just get my eating and drinking toned down. My abs are looking really, really great from the 500 crunches/sit ups from Cambodian GF training and weights. My run is Saturday and I have not had a chance to run in several days--so I need to do that, too. Life intervened--I took the weekend off exercise for the pourings at the winery. Martin Alfaro are making a tasting room in 6 months--I made them promise to employ me, 5 hours a week on Saturdays. Joe and Richard like me a lot! My second job at the restaurant has not come through, but these extra pouring jobs have kept me busy anyway.

Update:
Exhausted from carousing with a new friend last night ;)
Going to skip Kickboe and run in the woods in preparation for my race on Saturday.
I heard back from the restaurant! I need to get in touch with the owner to set a start day. YAY!

Ate well today--had some Mexican food for lunch, not something I made though--snapper tacos. I avoided sour cream and guac, skipped the chips--but ate too much rice. Oh well!

I'm looking forward to bed tonight!

On a sour note, my BF has been stressed again and neglectful--although I haven't exactly been around for the past 4 days, he won't even cuddle much at night. I'm going to plead my cause tonight :)

Feeling buff, but bummed about not getting in 2 full days of heavy lifting. At least all my cardio except running has resistance training involved--but as Steve would say, it's probably not that effective. Well he said one day was enough! But I wish I could do 3 days. Jessica Alba does weight training 3 days a week for an hour--and she has the most coveted ass in Hollywood! :rotflmao: Ah well, whatever!

Congrats on the restaurant from me too. How many hours per week? I am WAY TOO LAZY for a second job, but back when I was po' in my early 20's I'd babysit in the evenings for some extra cash.

Yesterday was a good day! Ate my cereal for b-fast, had that hearty lunch of fish tacos. Went running for 42 minutes in the woods, and ate 1/2 a sandwhich for dinner.

Weight: 141.5 lbs.

Oh I'm getting closer to my month's goal of 139! After "undoing" it I'm getting back to it!

Tonight is a new friend's b-day, so it's possible I may party tonight, but I'm in a more conservative mode right now, so maybe not.

The BF is going through an introverted phase and wants to be alone--and not intimate for a few days. The child in me is crushed, the adult is patient and understanding. Despite my inner turmoil, I showed absolute understanding. He's quite pleased with me.
 
Good job on moving down that scale! Your right on track again, what a huge start for June! That's so sweet of you to understand your BF, it happens sometimes, and of course you never take it personal :) If you end up partying tonight have a great time, stay safe and Don't drink to many unwanted calories!! :jump: Oh who am I kidding, ENJOY IT!! :rotflmao:
