Really Quick

Before I go to sleep....I worked at the restaurant as a hostess. After only 2 hours of work, guess who came in?

Marissa Miller! (Victoria Secret model)

She's VERY small in real life. Wow. TINY!!! But still very pretty.

Yesterday's synopsis

(Thanks, Tom!)

Woke up at 6am, did martial arts from 6:30-7:30, showered, went to work at the office selling wine from 8:30am to 5:00pm, put on nice clothes and went straight to the restaurant where I found out what hostessing is: looking pretty. That and seating people. Lighting candles. Sitting on my ass and telling people to have a great night when they leave. I folded some napkins at least! Seeing a supermodel was the highlight of the night, just because it was so odd--you buy ONE THING from Vicki's Sec and they send you 3 catalogues a month or more for the rest of your life! Arrrgh! But it's how I know Alessandra and Gisele by name. I actually recognized Marissa's face before I looked down at her body and was like, "Oh yeah. That's her." HA HA HA!

Anyway, I worked 5:30-9:30. All in all it was a 12-hour workday, although I get paid $15.50 at one job and $8.50 at the other. Joke's on me!! Not much tips yet. Wait til I bus and serve...

I wasn't tired. Weird. So I had my 1870 calories, but by the time I got home I realized I didn't want to be starving. I ate some steamed yams and sweet potatos I had in the fridge. Must have been about 200 calories. I had a glass of Pinot Noir with my housemates. 110 calories. I don't think 2180 calories is unreasonable seeming that my day probably required more like 3000!!

Weight is down to 141.5 lbs this morning.

You work so hard Curvie! I think it's great, and I do not see how you can still work out so much while working so hard. I hope that I'm able to do the same in a couple months. Seriously I think that's awesome. She's gorgeous of course, I love her hair though, it's always looking good. I hope you get some REST! Have a nice day :)

Congrats on the race Curvie! And congrats on being in the paper - that's awesome!

Don't forget us little people when you're rich and famous!! :)

Thank you very much, Sara. Right now I'm exhausted--couldn't sleep last night because of my throat infection--was coughing all night and it sucked. Probably slept 3 hours at most.

Congrats on the race Curvie! And congrats on being in the paper - that's awesome!

Ha ha ha! That is sweet....rich and famous? No way!! I'm just trying to scrape by. Still, I live in one of the richest, most beautiful places in the world and have TWO great jobs, so I count myself as wealthy in resources. No house to won, crappy car, but I'm better off than 70% of the world, so....can't really complain.

Val, wow! you had a very busy day! How fun to mingle with the celebs...sounds fun! Good job on the calories, too! :)

I didn't mingle with her, LOL! Gross!! I'm straight! :rotflmao: J/k!

I can't believe you saw a Victoria's Secret model. That's so cool! And on your first night? Looks like a nice start to your new job. Haha.

HI!

Yesterday: deep depression over my BF's wary attitude toward me. Went to SC Mountain Brewery and sat and drank for 4 hours. Spending the day at a brewery is actually pretty cool--obvisouly not when you're bummed out. No one could tell. I also spent the time reading my book on hospitality, for my new job.

When I came home, my BF was back to normal, after nearly a month of fighting/arguing/weeping. It saved me--now I have to focus on lightening up! :jump:

Yes. I cannot diet for SHIT when I am depressed and stressed. But it is a perspective--I had it all, and was still unhappy/dissatisfied. The disease of Western (wo)Man? I don't know. Just a funk? Probably.

I'm weird--I get depressed and eat more in summer, not winter. It's probably the beer. ;)

On a positive note, I did catering for only 3 and 1/2 hours at a winery for my restaurant job Staurday, and when I asked how much I'm getting, my manager said, "Oh about 150 bucks, under the table, cash." :eek2:

COOL!!!

ALSO, I was talking to the restaurant owner, who likes me very much, and the bar manager, who's a really, really cool guy, and I said, "you know, I'd rather be a BARTENDER than a server," and they said, "OK." :eek2:

"OK"? Just like that? That easy, no experience (well, no professional expeience, I know A LOT about alcohol)?!?!

I'm happy. Back to dieting. I can do this :)

Relationships ebb and flow and often one member of a couple will be more into the other person and the other person will pull away a bit, 6 months down the road you'll find the opposite happening. You'll see. Best cure is to pull back yourself a bit and watch the BF back up your ass like putty in your hands.

Good for you on the bartender job. That does seem like fun and good money.

LOL!!

I love it!!!

Thank you, this bar is NOT trendy, so I won't be making mad bank, but most likely 100 bucks a night, which is great for 4-6 hours of work, yadadada mean? :)

Brewery Decision

Thank you, Tom, Claudia, Cannon!

Well. Something great came out of my Brewery Hang Out this weekend. Oh, I didn't mention I was there Saturday and Sunday afternoon? Anyway, a conversation with Kelly made me decide to sign up for the Santa Cruz Sentinel Triathlon.

Anyway, Kelly, the chick who pours most of the time, is super cool and she mentioned the triathlon. She expressed her fear of swimming around the SC municipal warf. I also had fear incuted in me when I thought about it. Santa Cruz boardwalk water is COLD, DIRTY, STINKY, DARK, and full of SEAWEED and SEALS. BIG 'OL fuckers. Not to mention swimming is not one of my strongpoints. I can piddle around in water just fine--in Hawaii I will swim for an hour straight, without resting, in Honounou Bay. But the thought of hassling to get a wetsuit (ugly, probably will not fit my curves) and getting in that nasty, cold, dark, seal-ridden water is not appealing.

Still, I'm going to do it. Spetember 23rd, 8am baby. Ugh! 8 am in the freaking nasty, cold....anyway...

Congrats on the cold hard cash AND the bartender job! Hope you know what you're getting yourself into, you're going to be even more impossibly busy than you already are! You can do it as long as you have some nice down time incorporated somewhere! :) A triathlon! You are a machine Miss Curvie!
