Tidal School wines seem good, but the fruity ones and the White Zin are geared more towards consumers who like wine coolers, it seems. Snobby connoisseurs would turn their noses up and prefer more dry (less or no residual sugar) wines. I would try them all, with you :)
 
Funny you should say that, because those are the ones I DON'T drink. LOL I'm not a Zin fan, you know me, I'm the true Merlot, Pinot Grigio and Noir fan myself, I'm trying to like Chardonnay, I'm just taking baby steps on those.
 
We have events, but none exactly like that. Remember, I work all the Corralitos Special Events at Martin Alfaro winery (their tasting room is going to be ready for me to work at in January) and I did the Capitola Wine Festival. There are crazy things like Pinot Days and ZAP! and World of Pinot Noir and Rhone Rangers...but they are more for sales reps to go to and rich people cause they cost a lot.
 
Your so lucky that you get to do these events often, I might go to one a year or two if I'm really lucky! I failed to mention that I also love Shiraz. How did I forget that???? Well, I better get busy I need to get some work done so I can get the heck out of dodge before 4:30, are you working???

A REAL Zin is dark dark purple and a dry wine with spicy and plumnmy notes. There are some real fine Zins, I like the ones from Paso Robles...

Update so far

Been working hard, trying to make a decent shelfie today for a wine that has a particularly long and not very flattering review from Mr. Robert M. Parker, Jr. Crushed rocks? Puh-lease! Well, I have to quote the bastard...90 pts is very good.

I made up a shrimp salad and I was right--it DID fill me up for very little calories. But I ate 2 cookies today in a moment of desperation--VERY small cookies, though.

I though I had started last Friday, but I was wrong. My stupid cycle is all fucked up because last time stress made it screwy....basically today is DAY 1 after not knowing what the fuck day I was on for a month :rolleyes: That would explain the weekend binging on sweets while I was out gallivanting and not drinking (luteal phase cravings) and the weight gain after dieting last week. I think I'll weigh myself in a few days rather than tomorrow and everyday after.

Anyway, I have a lot on my mind....Joe's deal, San Diego, poor burning bunnies.....:cry: Good thing I have Kickboe tonight! And there is a funny thing, the Grand Opening for a Vons's wine temperature control room in San Diego is tomorrow, and I need to concentrate on getting wines in there....but what about the fire? I guess that area is not affected. Well, gotta go! It's WINE TIME!

They're very well done! Nice layout, Artsy enough without being hard to read like a Celestial Seasonings Tea box. Very solid.

In my 10 years of college, somewhere between studio art and technical illustration (later engineering) I studied graphic arts. This was before widespread computer use so was with ruby tape and boards.

Very cool, what you do, and nicely done!

I am also heart broken for the people out there. My 2 clients were both evacuated from their respective homes (they're sisters and they fled to their cousins house, though I'm starting to wonder if he was also evacuated as when we spoke to him he was in a haze of smoke). The scale of it is totally mind blowing. I'm so sad for all the people, animals and even the trees are feeling the pain. Wahhhhhhhhh.
 
What a couple of winos you two are!! lmao. Yeah, says the girl who drank an entire bottle of wine the other night..lol. That ladies' night out sounds awesome. I would totally get my ass down to OK if I had any $$...being poor sucks ass! :rolleyes: My H's uncle used to have a vinyard in Australia back in the day. I think my H would enjoy working in the wine industry.:)

me the whole situation and pretty much how bad the schools are getting
everywhere.I will do some heavy duty diary reading in here this week to catch
up I am real intersted from beginning to now.:)I must get sleep now tho I am sooo beat,have a gr8 night and I will also check those links you posted those fires are horrible!!!

Cool! My grandpa was a graphics designer, but with a desk and a magnifying glass/light, and a ruler and a pencil & colored pencils :) He's the one that runs, too. My mom runs and also used to paint signs. Shit runs in the family I guess! Mike, the dude that works on the house that is my office, saw me working and said he went to school for Photoshop but never applied it in any job. I didn't tell him I taught myself, but he makes WAY MORE money than I do, installing bathrooms and fixing plumbing and roofs and shit. Thanks for the compliment, I have SOME creative power but mainly the sales reps tell me what layout they think sells and I cough it up.
