detrain? maintaining muscle while cutting workouts?

I've been exercising 1 hour per day but lately that time has increased to 2 hours. I basically don't have time to workout everyday for 2 + hours. How long do I have to workout to maintain? Do I complete exhast my muscles in my entire body on alternating days? How much do I have to exercise to increase my muscle size and cardio strength? Right now I work out 5 days a week 2 hours a day. My workouts are getting rediculous!
 
there's no need to go more than 1 hour a day. 3 to 4 times a week is more than enough to maintain muscle.
