detoxification

No I made sure the label said with active live cultures... unless you're saying they're lying! Maybe I didn't eat enough. I had maybe a cup or 2 a day. How much do you eat?

At the moment I'm doing a 1/4 gallon of keifer a day. I do 1 quart of yogurt post workouts. The yogurt that I typically drink (I drink rather than eat it) is fresh from a guy that owns milk cows. It takes awhile to get used to the flavor because it has nothing added to it and has that wonderful fat on top that you shake into it and drink it down. It's great for post workouts.

What brand are you getting?

I don't remember, Yoplait or Dannon I think. But hey I found this really good link about yogurt.. so now I see what you mean about going for the organic. Hah.. will have to try it. Thanks!

Yeah I said previously that I tried acidophilus and yogurt with live cultures, but the distention persisted. Which is why the detox thing caught my eye.

Re-populating your gut with friendly bacteria is a very slow process that may take 6-8 months of daily supplementation. Don't give up after two weeks.

I thought I had the same problem last December. I was bloated all the time and I was taking acidophilus every day. I only realised 3 months later that I developed a soya intolerance. Since excluding it my stomach is slowly getting back to normal. I'm almost there. You may have developed an alergy to something that you could eat before (like lactose in that yogurt?)

Well I have wondered since I have an autoimmune disease, if I also have Celiac Disease. (They can go hand in hand.) I do have the symptoms, yet it seems that no matter what I eat, I still have this problem. Although those triggers are in just about everything too. I guess I won't know for sure until I see the GI doc again. Will keep you posted, but I won't follow up with him for a long time.
