Hi everyone!!!!

I'm 29 years old, Mother of one boy and I'm desperate to loose weight. I commit to myself since December 23, 2005 to excercise and to eat healthy to accomplish my goal. My weight is 196 pounds and my height is 5'7". I start my over weight problem at 25 when my child was born. I was a skinny sexy girl til then. I used to weight 125 pounds. Right now I don't even want to go out with my husband because I feel to heavy for him. He is handsome and skinny. Please reply to me with support and successful stories.

I've been excersising at least 3 or 4 times a week since the past 2 weeks. It's still a challenge for me to do this. I really want to do this for my self and for everyone to see that I DID IT!!! Nobody believes that I can do it.

Oh hun, you can do it! Absolutely!

I used to weigh 211, now I'm down to 184!! I mean, its alot, but it took me alot of 'fooling around' to get there, now i'm getting serious! I want to drop 30 more pds by May/June.

I used to be 125 also before I had my first, so I know how you feel..But you can do it hun, don't let anyone trick you into thinking differently!
 
Hi, we do welcome you. We have all been there and most of us are still there! We do a pretty good job of working together though! I let some other people know that you were having some posting problems so hopefully one of them can help you.

Wow, your story sounds like mine. I havent been 125 since I was 19! I had lots of babies, lots of food, and have lost down to around 130 three times. I would keep it off for about a year, then it would creep back on me. Both my ex,as well as my present H are slender good looking men. I feel more like my H's MOTHER than his wife at this weight! It stinks! Hes six years younger, but STILL!!!!

Ive been enjoying reading throughout the forum, and reading the diaries for what different ideas are working for everyone here.

You can definately do this!!! :D I was 120 before I got pregnant with twins and after their birth I weighed almost 250 :eek: ( lots of sausage milk gravy w/ buttermilk biscuits and 9 mo. of bedrest! LOL). They are 10 now and have seen my weight get down to 147 then go right back to 225 with crash diets and quick fixes. NOW they see me taking it off and keeping off - the right way.

Keep up the exercise and ignore those who say you cannot do it. Come see us for support and talk to hubby and let him know you need his support. The people here are great and willing to lend "ears" when you need them.
 
Don't worry! You can take off that weight and become that skinny sexy lady again. It sounds like you are at a good point and you are heading in the right direction. Just believe in yourself and don't be too hard on yourself when you mess up along the way.

Have you noticed any weight change since December 23?
What kind of meals are you having?
 
Good for you for taking the initiative to start a program & doing it for yourself. It is tough..I have 2 boys & Ive had 2 csections..my last one 21 months ago literally almost killed me...but I have found by making small goals and sticking to them & then increasing as I go...I have been the most successful. I was at 279 at my heaviest last Jan....I started walking & counting calories & now Im down to 250...Its a constant struggle though..I was below 250 and then above it even w/ going to the gym 5 days a week. I have found recently that I needed more structure in my diet & I joined ediets.com & that has helped considerably...the scale is starting to work for me again..im doing 40 min cardio at 85% 6 days a week...walking on the 7th..Im eating 1500 cal a day & drinking my water... I have decided that this is a lifestyle & there are no excuses anymore...the rest will fall into place! I have alot more to lose & I have a family just like you to stay healthy for...so thats what Im in this for..the long haul. I would like to be under 200 by June..that gives me 6months & I know I can do it. So can you!
 
You can do this ... I know you can. By starting exercsing 3 - 4 times a week you will be able to do this. Also, add some protein and lots of veggies and LOTS of water ... lots and lots and lots of water. You will see the weight just FALLING off of you :)

I am so happy to join this forum. I receive a lot of good vibes related to weight loss. For the people who ask about my improvement since December 23 I went from 196 down to 189 . That was like two weeks ago I think. I do not have the courage to go through the scale again since I don't want to get dissapointed. I should go this week to see how much I had lost since the last time.

Yesterday I ate a little piece of chocolate but still I walk for an hour. I felt guilty for the chocolate but I forgive myself. I'm planning to add some weights to my routine (2lbs each) with some exercises. I will love to reach my goal by May. I'm doing this with a lot of commitment and a positive attitude. Both things were missing the last 5 years of my life!!!!

Hey ya, Chimi, just seein' how you're doin'. ... You have a great atttitude :) and that is more than half of the battle. Congrats on the loss! You're well on your way! :D
