denser muscle

I am about the size I want to be right now I don't really want to get really massive for anything, so I figure since I have gotten to the size I want I now need to get my muscles rock hard. I have been weight lifting on and off for a few years now but honestly don't know any of the technical stuff involved. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me what to do to get my muscles a lot more solid.
 
If you want denser harder muscles, you need to drink enough water and make sure you consume plenty of carbs. And most of all you need to eat pretty consistantly everyday. What that means is same Kcal intake daily. Not just same foods and same times. If your diet is sparatic then your muscles won't stay hard. Start with that. And if your not measuring all of your food and recording it then you don't know if you are eating consistant. We all think we do but very few actually do.

You gain size when you train with good technique, heavy weights and eat a bulky diet.

if you want to be strong and healthy then stick with a good weight program but just dont eat enough to build muscle.

you could do a bodybuilders routien, but if your not eating the protien and carbs you wont put on any weight.
