Definition

I am sure it has been said before and I apologise....

I have been buillding muscle for the last 6 months and am now bigger and stronger.

But I want to get more definition in my upper body, arms and chest.

What is the most effective way of doing this?

Is it called cutting?
 
well there's not much more to add, for more definition you need to loose body fat. look around there's dozens of helpful threads.
 
Sorry for the brief message - it was late, but that pretty much sums it up. You have muscles, they have a distinct shape, but you have at least a thin layer of fat over them that prevents them from being fully realized.

Additionally, tanning (if you're lighter-skinned) also brings out more muscle definition. This is secondary to weight loss - or "cutting" as they usually call it when bodybuilding is concerned.
