Sounds like you had a really good day at the gym. Love thet feeling when everything kinda feels all stressed out because you know you pushed yourself with a work out!

Hello fellow Team 2-ers! I had another great gym workout yesterday; I'm still feeling it today! I also kept my calories at 1500, which is were my alotted calories for yesterday :) Bad thing is, I cannot get the spreadsheet to work for me! I can see a little bit of it at the bottom and on the right-hand side, but then it's a big black screen over the rest of it! ): I don't know what to do ..

FOOD INTAKE (1/6/09)

Breakfast: English muffin w/ peanut butter
Lunch: 1.5 medium soft pretzels w/ nacho cheese, half bottle of Snapple
Snack: 1 c. Gatorade, peaches w/ cottage cheese
Dinner: Ham and cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread
Water: 4 cups (need to work on that!)
 
I am not sure what the problem is ?, are you using an up to date browser ? what is your connection like ?

it might be possible for another team member to log the info for you ??
 
Hm, I'm actually not sure about any of that! BUT Michelle did enter my information for me :) So I guess I'll have to rely on one of the members for now until I can get it to work ..

FOOD INTAKE (1/7/09)

Breakfast: 2 c. Cheerios w/ skim milk
Snack: Strawberry Yoplait yogurt
Lunch: Egg Beaters w/ half a slice of cheese and ham, 2 slices whole wehat toast w/ whipped butter
Dinner: Chicken quesadilla w/ sour cream
TOTAL CALORIES: around 1400

No gym today, it was my rest day. Boy, was I restless! I felt so unproductive just sitting at home! Even if it wasn't my rest day, I still wouldn't have been able to go to the gym today, on account of the roads were TERRIBLE! We got a sleet/snow storm last night and I did NOT want to venture out onto the roads.

And I would just like to say, I LOVE THIS CHALLENGE AND TEAM 2! Really, it's definitely keeping me acountable. Today I wanted to cave and just eat something sweet and totally go over my calories for the day. Then I thought to myself, you CAN'T do this to your team! And it worked! I didn't cave and eat something bad (or anything at all for that matter). In fact, this experience has made me realize something: there's something rebellious and easy and comforting about eating whatever I want, even when I know I shouldn't. I'd grown to like that feeling, which is what caused me to give in and eat when I knew it would blow my eating for the day. But no more! Feeling, and being, healthy and fit wil be SO much better than that lousy feeling I got before. Plus, I can't let my Team 2-ers down :D

Way to hold yourself accountable even on a rest day! great job chica!
Hope the roads clear up enough to make it safe to venture out to the gym tomorrow.
 
So thankfully, the roasd have cleared and are just perfect for me to cruise along to the gym. FINALLY, one rest day and I'm missing it. But that's good right?

Just a quick post because I'm heading to the gym soon, but so far my calories are right on track. I'm alternating calories everyday with an average of 1500 per day. So Monday was 1700, Tuesday was 1500, yesterday was 1400, and today is 1300, and so on. I'm nervous to see if I can ACTUALLY keep it at 1300 and not go over. I don't think I've ever intentionally eaten that little, EVER! I have 400 calories left for today which will be dinner. I might have a ham and cheese or turkey and cheese sandwhich, since those really fill me up.

I'm glad my work week schedule allows me to have the eating schedule I do. It makes it SO much easier to consume less calories. I have breakfast around 7:20, lunch around 12:30, snack around 4:30, then I'm at the gym, so I eat around 9 and I'm full for the rest of the night.

Ok that's enough rambling for now. Getting some work done and heading to the gym!

Whew, got back from the gym not too long ago now I'm finishing dinner. Once again, my muscles are feeling kinda like jelly which is good! Means I got a good workout :) I take 2 rest days a week, and I have to make tomorrow the second one. Actually, it's more of a rest from the GYM because I'm going out dancing tomorrow (; So that will be a workout in itself. Tomorrow is also my "treat day". I get one meal to eat whatever I want, but just ONE meal. It's something to look forward to in the week when I'm having sweet cravings!

Food Intake (1/8/09)

Breakfast: 2 slices whole wheat bread w/ 1 slice cheese
Snack: 2 Munchkins :X
Lunch: Chocolate Poptart (oh well, only 400 cals though)
Snack: Homemade healthy onion rings (around 150 cals), half cup of Fiber One w/ skim milk
Dinner: 1 cup Cheerios w/ skim milk, 3 cheese and cracker "sandwhiches", plus one small slice/cube of sharp cheese
TOTAL CALORIES: around 1300

I noticed you dropped by my diary a few times so I figured I'd return the favor :)

Our reasons for losing weight are veryyy similar.

Great job on the eating and going to the gym. Your eating has seemed to improve a lot just from when you first started this diary so great job! :)

Hey Jes, thanks for stopping by! No that you mention it, I do realize my eating has improved. A lot of it can be credited to the challenge because I SO don't want to be eliminated!

So so far on my "treat day" has turned into a "cheat day". Don't get me wrong, I haven't gone over my daily calories for today, but I've been shamelessly snacking and am feeling pretty guilty. Thankfully I'll be gone from 6-10 so I don't have to worry about eating when I don't need to! I had a little gingerbread man, 2 Hershey's kisses, one poptart (one PASTRYm not the pacakge), and these cream cheese rollup things I tried from a recipe that were gross, but I ate nearly all of them nonetheless.

Sooo, I don't know yet whether to consider yesterday a 10 point day or a 0 .. I ate more calories than I wanted to (so, maybe treat days aren't such a good idea for me) but if I stick with 1300 calories today and tomorrow I will still make my 10500 cal a week mark. So hopefully I can do that and still get my 10 points. So far, so good. Next week I'm going to change things up a bit with the eating AND the gym. I think I'll start aiming for 1500 cals a day and instead of 2 rest days and one cardio-only day, I'll take one rest day and 2 cardio-only days. Hopefully I will get better results.

Speaking of results, I did a little weigh in and measuring today to see how thigns were going. Last night I weighed less than I did this morning, so I was a bit confused. I've at least lost one pounds since Monday, I know that. ALSO I lost an inch in my waist :D Not my arms or thighs, which is where I'd like tos see some inches come off. Oh well, it's only the first week right?

Unfortunately, the gym is not an option tonight. I'm hoping that I can motivate myself to get up and do a workout DVD at home so I can get my points! Today is my cardio day, so that means one hour of cardio. I can do that with my Turbo Jam tapes. I HATE working out at home ever since I discovered the gym, so it's gonna be tough tonight. All I keep thinking about is TEAM SWEET CHEEKS and how I can't let them or myself down.

Haha you're totally in my head! I can't work out at home either. Ever since I started going to the gym, I only want to work out there. Sometimes friends will invite me over and be like "DUDEE, you can use my treadmill if you come over." ANDDD I'm like UHH i dont wantttt to use your treadmill. HAha.

Anyway good luck. DO UR DVD so you can get your points! :)
 
I'm the exact opposite. I hate working out at the gym. I always feel like people are staring at me and laughing. :blush5: guess it's a good thing I've got options to do at home.
Hope you got your cardio in, and good luck adjusting your food/exercise plan so it's a little easier to stick to. I'm sure you'll come up with something that works.
