Deadlifts corresponding to Back

My workout currently goes

Day 1 - Chest/Shoulders/Tris
Day 2 - Legs/Abs
Day 3 - Rest
Day 4 - Back/Traps/Biceps

On my Leg days, I do squats supersetted with leg extensions, deadlifts supersetted with leg curls, and calve raises. I did my legs on thursday with my deadlifts at 5x5. On friday my entire upper back was sore. It is now saturday and I am suppose to be doing Back exercises today (BO rows, sitting rows, lat pulldowns) Is it ok if I do my back exercises after being sore yesterday?

Also, should my back be getting sore after the leg workout i stated above? If so, should i put deadlifts in my back workout instead of leg?

I have deadlifts on my back day, I think it depends on the type though if you want to work the legs more, but deadlifts kill my lower back every time i would probably put it on the back day.

no deadlifts workout your lower back as much as your legs. But legs more, so keep it at leg day. Just do lower weights and more reps. I dont' htink you have your form right because my back never hurts it feels stronger

A regular deadlift should go on a back day imo. But a stiff legged deadlift would go with a leg day.

It definitely makes sense that you were sore from the deadlifts though, was it a regular deadlift?

If nothing else, put it on back day because it is one of the three core exercises of your routine (bench, squat, deadlift), and in my opinion you should do each on a different day.

Thanks guys helps a lot. I was doing straight legged deadlifts. But i will but a standard deadlift on my back day, and a straight legged on my leg day. Sound good?

You got it brother..

My back day always starts with a stiff leg deadlift. It is by far the best exercise for increasing core strength and building mass. On my leg days I rarely do bent knee deadlifts... another exercise I might do instead is the dumbbell squat, similar exercise, just keeping your back straight throughout the motion.

Anyways keep up the good work, that is a very similar program to mine.

Deadlifts are a hamstring and back of the legs exercise. You should feel it in your legs.

If you're sore wait another day and train core instead. IMO you don't train abs enough.
