Yes, I have read them and other articles and watched video clips. I will work on getting a little lower. I will also keep watching my back. I try to keep it tight and arched. That video was taken in the midst of a 10 rep set, so it may be that I am just not holding the form throughout.

I spent some time going back through deadlift information. From what I gather, taller people usually start with their hips higher. I'm 6'5". My starting position seems comfortable. Karky, what are your thoughts on hight verses the hips starting position? Should I really be adjusting it? Anyone else have any input? I want to make sure I am making the right adjustment before I get into it.

This would be based on the "deadlift form" video. I don't usually pull my hips up first like I did on the 420 lb lift. I think that happened because when I first went to pick it up, it wasn't really moving.

starting with your hips high is not a problem, but too high is a problem. It just looked more like an RDL to me. However, it was kind of hard to see because of the angle and the light. If you can get better lighting and take a vid from the side, it would be easier to see.

I'm not doing too well at this right now, I still get the odd pain in my right hamstring and I haven't done a heavy deadlift for weeks

Injuries suck

I asked for one but didn't get it, I'll have to stump up the cash myself now

I reckon I'll be able to knock out a fair number of reps at 330lbs today though so I'll have to try and up my 1rm by staying in the 3-5 rep range

YEAH! 305 BABY

I have it recorded on a camera phone too; I'll have to send it to my friend so he can get it on the internet.

****. I just calculated it. If I pull 405 at my current weight that's a coefficient of 2.45. That's getting up there in terms of relative strength. If I want to hit this weight I'm probably going to have to eat like 6000 calories a day because pulling a 405 at my current weight in 28 days just might kill me :)

that would be a friggin strong coefficient, Lei!

I'll pull 405 next time I pull for sure, it's only about 5kg more than what I pulled last time.

I am getting close. We have till March right???

Got 605 to just below the knee last week. Once I hit that I will have 20lbs to go. We will see. :D

Did you take water over your head by setting your goal as a 75lbs gain instead of 50, like the rest of us? :p

i have not tried for awhile. i had broke my goal, but I didn't really knwo anythign about the lift or setting a goal in weights. Havin been focused on the Power Cleans so much lately, and my back, i bet I am stonger.

BUT! and this is the BI BUTT! hahaha I have a race this next Sunday that is pretty major- so- I am going to wait before trying to max something like this again.

Once i do, I will send a pm, with the weight and a pic of the weight like I have done in the past- that is if the thread is closed.

Will this thread close on March 1st? Is this where we are suppose to post if we make it or not? :p
