11/18/08

I ate well yesterday but not enough. Oh well it will make up for last weekend so I’m not going to worry about it. I did 30 min on treadmill run/walk intervals for 2.12 miles.

Oh boy, not a good night. I was doing so good. I ate well during the day, came home did strength training and some of my new salsa workout dvd. Then I read most of my homework chapter. Then my hubby and boys came home. I downed 2 glasses of wine, 5 pieces of pizza and M&Ms.

I did lose .5#’s this week. Yea!

Today is another day. I will workout for 30 min on the treadmill tonight.

Note to Future Self:
I want to point something out to myself so when I start to slack I can come back to this and get re-energized. Even though I only lost 5.5#’s so far my body looks so much better than it did four months ago. Strength training has really been helping and if I quit again my body will go back to looking like it did before and I don’t want that. I need to strength train and exercise every week for the rest of my life. Even if I don’t want to, do it because I do not want to have to start all over again a year from now.

Holy Cow! I ate and drank wayyyyyyy too much this weekend and the scale thanked me by adding two pounds to my weight. I went out of town and overindulged too much.

So it’s salad and 1 hour of exercise all this week! I mean it! Even if I have to do 2-30min sets of it, I’m doing 1 hour all week. Thursday and Friday are going to be killers too so I will have to really concentrate on my mindless eating.

Grrrrrrrrrrr I ate like an oinker again yesterday. I did do 60 min of exercise 50 min on the treadmill for 3.38 miles and 10 min on the elliptical doing an uphill routine.

Matt,
Ideally my goal is to stay under 1500-1600 a day. I know I won't lose a lot each week but even if I lose 1 to 1-1/2#'s a month it's better than going up. I need to make permenant changes so I'm trying to eat normally so I can stay with it forever. If I try to diet I will lose but then it all comes back again. I'm trying to change my mind set and also to concentrate on my feelings so I can change my eating habits for good. I know it may take a couple of months or even years but slow and steady will hopefully work for me....


My oh my oh my. Well the holidays are definitely here at my house!

Good things I did this past week:

Wed. 11/25 I worked out for 1 hour
Thurs 11/26 I worked out for 40 min.
Saturday 11/28 I worked out for 1 hour

Bad things I did this past week:

Thurs 11/26 I overate
Friday 11/27 I overate & didn’t work out
Sunday 11/30 I didn’t work out

I am up another two pounds but I think this is water retention because yesterday morning I was two pounds less than this morning and I did okay on my eating but it I had a salty dinner. I know I did not eat 7,000 calories worth of food in one day. I will know for sure on Wednesday my official weigh in day. Please, please, please weight go back down.

Today I am back on my regular eating plan and will work out for either 30 minute on treadmill only or 25 min of strength training plus 30 minutes on the treadmill.

Monday night no exercise, I read my chapter and took a test. Yesterday I did the treadmill for 30 min for 2.09 miles. Tonight I’m going to try to jog for 30 minutes. I may not be successful but I am going to try it. Got the dogs done yesterday and I forgot to blog in.

I jogged at 5mph for 18 minutes last night and I walked the rest on the treadmill for a total of 2.12 miles. I think once or twice a week I will keep trying to jog for the entire time on the treadmill, about 25 minutes not including warm-up & cool-down.

I didn’t eat much last night calorie wise but the stir fry was loaded with veggies so volume wise I ate quite a bit.

Tonight I want to strength train and then cardio for 20-30 minutes.
