Here we go...my story:

29 years old
145 pounds
5'4
small frame

Goal weight: 125

Tomorrow I am starting this new journey. A journey I have tried before and failed. More than once...

Up until I was about 20 I have always been medium. Not skinny, nor fat....somewhere in the middle. Then after a few years of drinking and overeating, I went from around 120 pounds at age 22, to about 155 pounds as of age 26. 35 pounds gained in about 4 years. :mad: I did it to myself though and I know this. I can't blame anyone else....I wish I could :cool:

I also struggled with anxiety/panic and depression, which I think had a lot to do with overeating & drinking.

I "turned" strict vegetarian about 2 1/2 years ago, no meat, poultry or fish, limited dairy, no eggs. Lost 20 pounds within 4 months and was happy at 135. This past year, I have started to overeat on cheese and ice cream....and put back on 10 pounds.

So here I am, getting married in 7 weeks. I don't expect to lose 20 pounds in 7 weeks....but I am hoping to start and get around 10 or so shed. I am going to put my best foot forward and DO THIS!

I ordered Hip Hip Abs....I love dancing and hip hop so I think I will really enjoy it. Along with walking the dog for 30 mins every day, I'm hoping it will help!

Looking forward to writing in and creating my diary! :)

firstly congrats on the upcoming wedding. I lost 10 stones 7 years ago went from 20 stones to 10 and my weight has yo yo ever since but in the end i blew it and have put 4 stones on therefore have to lose it all again i ask myself everyday why do i do this to our myself but i never have the answer. im new to this site im looking foward to reading success stories hopefully you will reply but i wish you luck anyway.
 
Thanks Hayles, good luck to you on losing the last 4 ....I hear you on yo-yo-ing ... it is tough. I'm soo addicted to junk food!!

Well today so far I've had 2 coffees....I am trying to find something healthy to eat....I need to go grocery shopping. :doh:

That rice diet looks like just my thing. I think I'll look more into that.

Got my 30 min wlak in this morning. Hurry up Hip-Hop Abs!

Your starting weight is my goal weight and we are the same height!! LOL I will be very happy when I reach 145!!

It's not so much the # to me really, but I know at 125 I will be a lot leaner.... :) If I was toned and fit @ 145 I'd be happy here. Good luck on your journey as well! We can do it!

I am not sure about a calorie goal ....1500 is probably a good place to start.

Food report:

Breakfast:2 coffees w/ 2 tbsp ff international delight: 128 cals. 2 slices weight watchers ww bread w/2 tsp peanut butter & 2 tsp sugar free jam: 200cals

Lunch: 6'' veggie sub w/ff honey mustard from subway: 300 cals

Snack: TBA

Dinner: TBA

I know I need to plan better....:doh:

Exercise: 30 min brisk walk

Wecome Miss Canada, where you from? Luckily you're nipping your weight problem in the bud before you have too much to lose and you can feasibly do it in a relatively short amount of time. Just make the changes and get out of your own way. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Also, find something you love to do and do it and change your routine when you get bored. Drink lots (Water, like 80-100 oz). I find it satisfying to have SOMETHING to consume between meals and snacks.

I appreciate all tips and advice! I really do need to up my water intake...I am BAD at drinking enough.

Yesterdays food:

Breakfast:2 coffees w/ 2 tbsp ff international delight: (128 cals). 2 slices weight watchers ww bread w/2 tsp peanut butter & 2 tsp sugar free jam: (200cals)

Snack: Chips :mad: (220 cals) OJ (120)

Lunch: 6" veggie sub on wheat w/cheese & ff honey mustard (300)

Snack: 100 cal chocolate bar Dairy Milk thins, applesauce (50)

Dinner: ww english muffin (170) toasted w/ff swiss cheese (30) veggie cajun chicken (50) alfalfa sprouts & mustard (250 total)

Snack:fruit bar (70)

Total: 1478 cals

Which is good! BUT I could have had more healthier foods...

Exercise: 30 min brisk walk in the AM & 15 mins walk/jog in the PM.

S- medium coffee w/cream & sugar (70) on way into work

S - Mocha from Tim Hortons (180) 2 Timbits (140) at break

L - Quizno's 6" veggie sub (trying to find online (500?) Lunch

S - Sunchips (220) on way home

D - ww tortilla (140) w/ff refried beans (75), salsa (10) & brown rice (100), 1 ounce chedder (100) (450 total)

1833 total cals

Exercise:

30 min AM brisk walk & 10 min of stretching,

30 min PM brisk walk. (with some jogging)

Ugh....why did I eat chips and Quiznos and timbits and a mocha :( Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Tomorrow is a new day. I need willpower!!

Ok so I looked up calories burned, approximately 300. That makes me feel better!

My back is a little sore, it hurts to turn my neck to the left....weird.....

Anyways, tomorrow I am getting HEALTHY snacks....no more chips/ junk/ chocolate!!! :eek:

I am weighing in tomorrow morning.
 
Good decision about the healthy snacks and no more junk!!
We always had junk food in the house and when I started I got rid of all of them.. so no temptation. They made their way back into our closet ( I got a skinny one for a husband) since then, but by now it does not tempt me, I don't even care.
Good luck on your weigh in!!
have you had a chance to calculate your calorie deficit for the days? it will help you determining if your eating is right on calorie wise or have to be reduced or if you need to exercise more.. Just a thought.

Yeah, after i was not losing, I had to look into the calorie deficit and found out i was eating too much. I don't think this is your case though looking at your numbers.
Right now I am losing 1.8 lbs a week with about 900 calorie deficit/day. 700 comes from exercise and 300 comes from food reduction. I keep track of it and so far the numbers confirm the lbs. In my case I had to up my exercise as I couldn't lower my food any more.
