Day 3 progress

I did pretty well today!!! i ate healthily all day, took a homemade pasta salad made with lots of vegies and low joule oil free dressing. i didn't even have my regular hot chocolate and biscuits. I did however come home from work at 11pm and had a little piece of steak, a scoop of mashed potato and gravy and a slice of bread. Now i am feeling really guilty and wondering how i can compensate tomorrow, but no compensation, cause the ugly cycle just begins again. My sisters b'day tomorrow and she wants to have fish and chips at the beach. i have already planned to take a salad with me and just have a few fresh prawns. NO BIRTHDAY CAKE FOR ME!!! I know i can do this. My favourite pants will fit me yet!!! I just wish it was easier to actually stick to this healthy eating deal, cause i really do love my healthy foods, but i am even starting to try and limit that and that is like sabotage.

Well hopefully tomorrow will be easier and the day after easier again. i think my biggest task is not picking on comfort foods late at night, especially at work where there is a hot chocolate machine and unlimited biscuits. I proved tonight i can go without, but then ate when i came home anyway, this i have to stop some how. Any ideas on what has worked for others?

whats worked for me, is keeping my hands full...what I mean is, reading, cross stitching or painting! If I have things in my hands to do, i can't eat!

I also will have a tall glass of water and a piece of sugar free gum...the chewing action makes me feel less hungry. AND if you brush your teeth when a craving hits, the taste of the toothpaste changes my mind every time!!
