Darth Pooh, Sith Lord of the Honey Pot

I don't think surgery is a bad thing -when it's necessary... I'm glad you're realizing that it probably won't be necessary...

I have been very nervous that my body will stop responding to my current regimen though. I feel comfortable with my current methods (i.e. gym/diet) and don't want to move into an area of uncertainty.

After all that being said, I feel that I've set up my current plan using sound and proven information... I am taking in a smart amount of calories based on my goals. I don't think it will let me down now.

Hi Darth, glad I stopped by your diary tonight to read your thoughtful observations.

Its a small (and ultimately easier) job to stay positive. Hope you continue to recognize which thoughts to discard and which to hold on to forever. Like the love of exercise.

My obsession with exercise has replaced my obession with food... I'll take the simple trade off. Both "unhealthy" in terms of obsession but at least has the benefit of quality of life issues (i.e. diabetes, self esteem issues...)

And better yet, I was wondering about subtracting calories from the fiber... well it appears in America, they are allowed to do it and already do. In Canada, they must put ALL calories on the label... so in America, Kashi Go Lean is 140 calories (which is all the body actually absorbs) but in canada it is listed at 180 because the 10 g of fiber cannot be subtracted.

What's up Keith? Did you go to the parade?

Hola Steve! Nah, my wife was there (simply because she works at 18th and Market and they let her go for as long as she wants, awesome job perks there)...

I figured, eff it, I was at the game itself, do I need to see some parade? Besides, I am going for perfect attendance at school this year.

Do you get a cash prize for that or a certificate to hang on the wall? :D

Cash prize... and a certificate!

They pay for my luncheon, but more specifically, they take out $75 bucks a pay check for "Job insurance", so if I get sick and have to stay out for an extended period of time, they still pay me 75% of my salary. After I accrue so many sick days in my bank, it goes to no monthly premium. This year, I can take off 3 days and I am down to like 14 bucks a pay for my premium.

That's very cool - and here i thought i ws being sarcastic... :)

Oh, I know where you were going... I expected it almost ;)

However, it is a nice benefit for the wallet that I am gunning for this year.

I will probably call out really... but most likely to spend it with my wife, going to the Morris Arboretum when it gets nice out.

So, another brain nugget while sitting here at lunch... maybe I should try carb cycling.

I think the gyst of it is something like this, but I should REALLY research it:

Day 1: Eat about 250 grams of carbs and 1 g of protein per lb of bodyweight
Day 2/3: Eat about 125 grams of carbs and 1.2 g of protein per lb of bodyweight
Day 4/5: Eat about 125 grams of carbs but all of it before and after workout (split) and then 1.5 g of protein per lb of bodyweight
Day 6/7: Eat about 75 grams of carbs and then 1.7 g of protein per lb of bodyweight
Day 8: Refeed... 400 grams of carbs + 1 g of protein per lb of bodyweight

So I am assuming if I take in 2100 calories for the day, do I still take the rest of my calories from fats? And what the hell does a diet like this consist of? I would really need to write this all out and plan my meals very closely if I were to do this. I've heard wonders from Carb Cycling, especially from people near my body weight / scenario.

Why do you want to try carb cycling?

And btw, there are a million and one ways to set up a diet involving carb cycling. Just look at all of Lyle's diets. All different. And most involve some sort of cycling or play on carbs.

My wife asked me the same question. She said... "you are still losing using your methods."

I think I want to know more about it... and think it could help me with my APRON of skin/fat better than other methods I am currently using. However, I don't know really... so it was more or less an investigative brain nugget for me.

Drop sets.

I think to mix up my workout routine and give it some flair, I am going to start doing drop sets. I haven't had DOMS since I started my last cut routine and it's annoying.

So:

Vertical Bench 3 sets of 10, last set drop set (shooting for plate 18, no clue what the hell that is in terms of lbs).
Arnold Presses 3 set of 10, last set drop set (45lbs for the first 3)
Bent over lateral raises... dunno if I should do drop set on these, don't want to screw with that area too much
Overhead press (going to introduce this today, so I won't even try drop set)
Bentover Dumbbell Row (def doing drops on this, 70 lbs first 3 before my last drop set)
Pullups.. 3 sets of whatever I can eek out.

I must have delusions of grandeur or some shit... No way was I doing drop sets on all that... Found out as soon as I did my first set there. So I decided to do drop sets on one exercise 3 days a week. I was able to throw in a rest pause set on my arnolds tho... BEASTLY they are.

Just a quick hello to say I freaking LOVE your diary name. Too bloody funny.

I read your first diary entry and your last page and see you married that girlfriend of yours? Congratulations. :) :) :)
