Thanks Liz!

K, I think I did great today, considering. Of course, being at someone else's house, I couldn't measure anything, and I had to guess at the stuffing. But I came in at the right amount, so I'm treating myself to a chocolate covered slimfast bar. Yum!

Plus, while the wind is still pretty chilly, it's gorgeous out today, so I got in a long, leisurely walk, and a short, brisk walk!!!

haha some of those choco covered low cal bars are great to trick yourself into eating healthier foods rather than the chocolate we crave :D

Well, not that this is healthy, but it's chocolate, yummy, and 100 calories less than the bar I was eyeing up in the store earlier!

Hi dariqueen, thanks for being so welcoming! Ah easter dinner and family dinners in general sure can be tempting, but seems youre doing great with holding on to the reigns.

Have fun, and happy easter!:D

Hi, DQ!
You seem to be having our winter there. On an average year this time it's still possible to ski around here but all the snow melted about two weeks ago. We still have temps under zero Celsius, but the sun's been shining and everything starts growing. So, please, send us some of your snow and cold, we can spare some of this warmth and sun and everybody'll be happy!?! :p
I read your post about psychological ideal weight. It was an eye-opener for me. Even though I can't really compare my weight-loss journey to yours, since you've come so amazingly far, I think I'm experiencing a similar problem right now.
Right now I'm at a weight (67 kg) where I used to be for a looooong time. Most of it quite happily, never thinking twice about my weight. This is the upper limit of "normal" BMI, so I wanted to reach this first and foremost. And I did, -6 kg. And my reason tells me to go further down, now that I got started. There's a lot of extra fat to get rid of still.
Somehow I just can't seem to go down more. Or, haven't so far. I think it has something to do with the thing that I actually feel safe in and familiar with this weight. My subconcious is wondering, what will happen if my weight goes down to numbers which I haven't seen since school times. And so I'm thinking and doing things which aren't really helping the weight-loss.
Since I hope it's possible to fix the things I know are wrong, maybe now I can.
Thank you for your wonderful example of stamina and I hope you bust your plateau soon!
Have a Happy Easter!
Juliette

Good Morning DQ,
I hope your second easter dinner goes well!

Remember, it's one meal at a time ;) Eat the bits you LOVE and leave the rest!

Happy Easter everyone!!!

(This coming from a bad mom who forgot to hide anything last night. It's a darn good thing my girl usually sleeps a little later than me.  )

Juliette, you're making perfect sense. Our bodies may be just a little too comfortable at this weight. We'll just have to knock some sense into them!

Randy, that's hilarious! And Happy Easter to you!

Dinner tonight should be good. I'm a little worried about breakfast though. The ex's family invited us over for that (before an uncle goes home to Ontario). Bacon, hash browns, leftover ham, and toast. I love breakfast, and make do without this meal at home. Or when I have it, I have egg whites and turkey bacon, with ww bread. What to do?

Thanks Cannon! You too!

Breakfast went well. They had no bacon or hashbrowns. So I had a small piece of ham, the white part of my daughter's egg, and half a piece of toast. Now I'm going to have some fruit!

Dinner was soooo yummy! Roast beef, mashed potatoes, carrots, corn, and yorkshire pudding with gravy. And my grandma nicely made us a slightly lighter dessert...angel food cake with lite cool whip.

So I came in under maintenance all weekend, which is amazing for all the food I ate that I didn't make myself!

Oh wow, I never really knew people got so into it like that

Over here people just buy eggs and hot cross buns for a month before easter, some try and have easter eggs on easter itself, but most definatly not much hiding, tons and tons of chocolate, or massive big xmas like stuff lol :D

My kids usually dont get anything much except what my mum gives them (thats why i dont give them anythng, shes a chocoholic!).
This year i gave them each 1 cadbury creme egg with breaky - a whole 170 calories each :O
hehe

Cute kids btw :)

Thanks guys!

Liz, we usually do more chocolate. But since I'm trying to teach her healthier habits, I replaced some of it with a gift. I'm not sure why we love easter here so much, but we did the chocolate hunt in our house when I was a kid too.
