No kidding BRRRR. I think we'll be staying in for a few days. Great job on attempting new recipes, I was jsut telling D the other day that it seems like I cook the same things over and over. WE'll have to exchange a few recipes.

My we are going to get a winter storm in and our low will be 17. I am thinking that's cold, then I come on here and I think you have dang cold weather there!!:D

well, hope it doesnt stay too cold for too long!! I cant imagine weather like that, here in NC, sometimes it gets to like 27...but thats extremely low for us....anyways, have a wonderful day!!

~Emily.

I'm sorry it's so cold for you there. In Texas it's a nice and sunny 70. I actually got to go for my lunchtime walk. Hope it warms up for you.

LOL! Thanks for stopping in everyone! Sorry I wasn't around to offer up coffee (or shooters:D )

I have used up half a tank of gas in the last 2 days, simply because of the cold, and the kids. Darn car.

O.M.G...
I can't, simply can NOT imagine how cold -(NEGATIVE) 35 degrees celsius must be.

They really don't make clothes warm enough for that.
I'm almost sure of it!

DQ - you must be burning a boat load of calories JUST maintaining your own body heat!!

Heya's Dari,
Stopping by to say Howdy. We have went from
30's one day to 50's now rain and 40's and in a couple days they
are showing highs 20 and lows single geeesh we all are gonna be

Hope the chicken u making on Fri keep u warm! Let me know how it goese and pass the recipe!

*HUGS* Just to keep u warm hehe.

-35 again. OMG. And I have to drag the kids out of bed at 7am to go outside. :( Poor little guy keeps making faces and shaking his head when we get out into the cold.

I made my version of chinese food last nite...almond gai ding. Delish. However, I also made some steam fried noodles, then found out afterwards that the noodles alone were about 1,000 calories. So I went a tad over my limit. :p I'm throwing the bag of noodles in the garbage.

Honestly, if I'd wanted an extra thousand calories in my day I would've had treats instead...I feel gypped.

ETA: My mistake. It's not -35. It's freaking -37 And my therm. outside says it's -40. That's it, I'm moving to Texas.

I was reading diaries yesterday and this quote popped into my head. It's from A League Of Their Own; I love that movie. Geena Davis' character had just quit the baseball league and is talking to her coach...

Dottie: It just got too hard.
Coach: It's supposed to be hard. The 'hard' is what makes it great.

Let's apply this to weightloss, alright? Screw-ups are fine, happens to everyone. But letting it ruin a whole day, week, month, year, is pointless. We're just wasting our time if we give in to what's easy.

This is a difficult thing we're doing, but it's worth the effort. We are worth the effort. So let's get in the game and kick some @ss.

Maybe I should copy and paste this thing...

oh ouch on the noodles!

Though im sure we've all had times like that, when you think something will be ok then find out it put you over :/

If we don't allow our mistakes and goof ups, then we would all fall off the wagon and never get through it. Everyone needs the break once in a while.

As for the -37... OMG. I would stick to the ground and look like an ice sculpture as soon as I walked outside. I'm definitely never going to be ready for temps like that. I freeze when it falls below 70F.

Have a great Friday.

I LOVE that DQ!!! I'm going to remember and say it to myself every time is applicable. I think that's an awesome quote. Thank you so much, I needed to hear that today. Its applicable for so much of my life, not just with weight/fitness. I sincerely thank you. *hugs* YOU ROCK DQ! :)

I love 'listening' to her talk in her diary, because it's not stuff that you would hear her say if you were hanging out having lunch or a drink... :) You rock, sis!!
