Congats on the weight loss. You are doing awesome!! Keeep it up. Soon you'll be one of those skinny little things, I hate so much!! LOL Maybe cause I'm jealous!!!!!:D
 
Last nite my friend and I finally made it to the weight room that we signed up for. The gym teacher and some students made this place possible, I think...they took one of the unused classrooms in the school, and turned it into a little gym. Perfect size for our little town. There's a treadmill, an elliptical trainer, and a stationary bike. There's also various weight training apparatus's that I know nothing about.

It was fun! So I got 15 min. on the elliptical, and my legs felt like jello. Then I got on a mat and spent 10 or 15 min. doing various types of ab exercises, then I tried the bike! First time on a bike since high school. I did 5 min, and di 1.8 miles. Not bad for my first time. I can't wait to go back!
 
I think I remember you talking about that gym before, glad you went. Sounds like you got a pretty good work out in! Good for you! That's a really awesome thing for them to have put together.
 
It is good; the only drawback (for me and my friend) is that it's only open to the public after 5:30 weekdays, and on Saturdays...no daycare:( But I'll manage. And it works; I made it to the 170's!!!
 
Woohoo DQ!!!! And the hours DO suck, big time. I doubt I'll be getting there. Too much going on during the week in this house....
 
Im glad to hear you are doing so well...I hate the stationary bike..it is hard, LOL...My first time I did 15 mins and I relly had to push myself for that...I am more of an action girl I guess...jumping and kicking and punching, gotta love Billy Blanks...I did my boot camp last night and i am dying...but hey at least we know it works...Did I say I am so proud of you...*BIG SMILES*
 
Hey Dari...I just wanted to say thank you...if it wasnt for you telling me abt this website and for Mals challenege I wouldnt have gotten it together to loose 10.5 lbs...Thank you soo much...*GREAT BIG BEAR HUG!!!*

hey DQ, just dropping in to see how you're doing. Checked out page 53 and the instant it came up, I was hugged... thanks by the way lol

The eliptical is an awesome workout, the jello feeling is awesome.... I love getting the involutary muscle spasms lol

Not quite a hot potato...maybe a warm one:rolleyes: I realized something about this last night; The first 20 lbs was easy...not that I haven't been working hard, or that giving up most of my favorite yummy junk foods wasn't difficult. But I've been between 170 and 180 lbs my whole adult life, and probably for most of high school. Getting BACK to that from 200 is the easy part, because that weight gain was due to a bad relationship (which I've dealt with:D ), and that stupid depo needle (which I've also gotten rid of).

What's going to be hard is the next year, losing weight that's comfortable, that I've always had, and dealing with whatever issues I have that made me be this way. Not looking forward to it; but the end result will be soooo worth it. I will look like OHD! (Whatever she looks like; still haven't seen a pic, grumble grumble.):D
 
I totally understand where your coming from, I have always had this fat on my body as far back as i can remember. then questions like-how do i get past all that come up, but I know we can make it!
