Hey DQ, just wanted to say hi. Trying to make my rounds before Grey's Anatomy...I'm so tired I don't know if I'll make it. I'd better set the DVR just in case.

yeah, I kind of believe in that "things happen for a reason" thing... although sometimes I'll admit it can be tough to figure out what that reason is.

Congrats on your lil 1 dodgeing
the cooties! I hate when my girls pick that crap up from
school this year has been gr8 last year twice in 1 week
I learned a trick believe it or not rubbing alchohol in a spray
bottle spray it on kills them instantly then coconut shampoo
and conditioner made by suave keeps them away! They hate
coconut for some reason and Rid din't work on my girls and
teacher told me about rubbing alchohol and it worked!
So for in the future(hopefully not)! Hope ya have a Fantastic

I'm so excited! Despite missing my walk twice this week, I kept off my post-drinking weight loss! I've lost 3 lbs since last week:eek:
 
You know what's frustrating though? (I'm not getting discouraged, I was just thinking about this last night) I've lost 17.5 lbs so far, more than I ever have before, and I'm very excited. But then I realized that the reason I don't look any thinner in the mirror is because I am still above the weight I've been my whole life. I knew, but didn't GET just how much weight I've gained in the last few years. That I could lose this much so far and STILL not be back to my overweight normal.

I think it finally hit me just how long this is going to take.

Just keep up the good work...stick to the changes you made and work on getting that exercise in and you will get there chicky...I am so proud of you as well...you motivated me to start coming here and I have been serious and focused and lost 8 lbs...your awesome!!! I put back on 18 lbs just by switching back to my normal lifestyle and not keeping my changes...real pop instead of diet or sweetened or w/e...whole fat yoguart...blah blah blah, so it all goes on, real sugar...your doing excellent...Go Dari, Go...
 
Congratulations on the 3 pounds!! Don't feel bad, you've come so far and you've worked so hard I don't want you feeling anything but PRIDE! *OHD wags her finger as she talks firmly...ever so lovingly though :D )

Ok, I get to go scrapbooking all weekend, and we're supposed to bring a dish of something to share. What can I take that's yummy and no one will say, "ewww, is that low-fat?":confused:

reading about head lice always give me the creepy crawlies.
Your doing great Dairy, don't doubt yourself and don't worry, you will see the difference in the mirror someday. I still don't see the difference in the mirror.
I hope your day is good and if you need a good snack recipe for your scrapbooking party check out the peanut butter dip recipe I posted in my diary, its fab and not too sweet, low cal and all that...

hhmmmmmmm, so are we talking main dish, side dish, dessert, snacky? And how proficient in the kitchen?
 
can try steamed mushroom stuffings?

If you can just keep with those baby steps DQ the weight will take care of itself. You're doing great and 17.5 pounds is nothing to sneeze at.
 
Dari, pick up Makenna and hold her for awhile. Then tell yourself that you have lost ALMOST WHAT SHE WEIGHS! That is amazing. Find something that weighs 17lbs and carry it around for an hour, then you will feel good about what you've accomplished. You should be proud of yourself!

And a bbq chicken pizza on a whole wheat pita would be yummy!
