Hey there Dari,

Pilates eh? And stripping moves........ I have 2 of the Carmen Electra dvds and I should put them to use!!! I put them in a box a while back when we were re-doing the living room and I haven't dug them back out! *note to self to get those DVDs dusted off!*
AS for you....... I have only been at this site for a few days and I must say that you kindness and compassion is the 1st thing I think of when I see your name. That my dear is what counts! :D

hi DQ - congratulations on your loss (inches as well). its really hard dealing with ex's and children etc. you might want to have a more formal arrangement where visiting is concerned, just so you both know there is an obligation and so you can plan your time accordingly. i don't necessarily mean the law courts, but if you do it through a mediator or third party it takes the emotion out of it and you don't have to waste time feeling sad or resentful (as all women left to raise the kids alone do at times!). its not fair for you to wonder when he might come, it ends up being seen as a 'favour' rather than his obligation to the children and to you (yes, he does have an obligation to you as his children's mother).

anyway, just some thoughts from my own experience :)

Awwwww Dari! Don't beat yourself up over that comment yes it's aggervating and very not nice to say but look at you now you are working hard to change that part of your life style and you are raising beautiful kids and you are a stronnng person!
My grandma used to say you have such a pretty face and if you would lose a few pounds you would be alot prettier something along those lines.
I had a stepdad that would make fun of me to because my dad was very overweight and I outta the whole family both sides but he would say I weigh more than his drinking buddies(whom were pretty big guys)called me pudge forever.Kids at school never made fun of me too much for the fat (even though not many boy friends)but my last name my maiden name is FORD which stood for in school Found On Road Dead! There are cruel people out there and what goes around comes around!I pray my hubby gets fat because he always says he can eat what he wants and if he was fat he would NEVER diet. And he plays his stupid little xbox 360 and when I go to exercise or for a walk for exersice he acts like that is a luxery something fun and = to the video games.I say thats something I have to do if I want to be healthy and be here for my kids! Her complains because he has to watch the kids for an hour while I exersice and then I have to here about it.I am here all day with them and I love them to death but me gone an hour isn't the end of the world.
Anyway Don't let ex's grandmas ect get ya down cuz you are a sweet person and I am glad I met ya!Good luck to ya and have a gr8 weekend/holiday!Tammy

Oy, the drama of a small town:rolleyes:

Last night after dropping DD off, my ex says he got in sh*t the night before, from his gf's dad. Apparently the man thinks I'm harrassing her, because I happened to come into the bar for a drinks the night she happened to be working. OMG people are so stupid.

So I had a low night, but instead of caving in, I gave myself a treat of low-fat frozen yogurt with fresh strawberries, and played on the computer.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
So it's raining again. I hate this...I love my walks, and didn't get to go yesterday either. I wish I had a treadmill, but it's still not the same, you know?

And I went down half a pound, so I'm on my way to my 2 lb goal for this week!

Small town mentality, gotta love it. Let them think whatever they want, laugh at them and keep going. No matter what they're going to find something to talk about...that's just the nature of the beast in small towns unfortunately. I grew up in one, I know how you feel.

I Am Sooo Proud Of You!!

DQ you really do inspire me!! You have made some AMAZING, healthy choices this week when emotions would have led most to Dairy Queen (LOL - no pun intended :D)! I love Pilates - tell me how you like it!!

Hey Dari,
Sorry about the stupidity you have to put up with!!
Congrats on your willpower and your healthy treat !Thata girl!
I love my walks to and I am not too happy when I have to do
all my exersices indoors I don't mind the 20 minutes on the bike and the situps but too miss out on my 3 mile walks gets me down.I would rather have a great outdoors scene than a basement with 4 walls and a radio scene lol!Congrats on the 1/2 lb keep up the good hard work you can do it.Tammy:)

Well done Mate - I am having a love affair with low fat yoghurt - my favourite is pure unflavoured organic live low fat yoghurt - I eat tubs of it. I like it on strawberries instead of cream, and with just a drizzle of nice honey hmmmm. I often have it during the evening with a handful of mixed nuts and mixed seeds - my evening treat, but last night I had it over chopped fresh pineapple...

Sorry, I'm rambling about yoghurt in your diary... We love you - don't give time to negative thoughts - dust them out of your mind and chuck them in the bin :)

I knew I could count on you all to brighten my day! (plus the sun is shining and I took the baby for a quick walk:D )

I hate yogurt...couldn't get into it. But I'm loving the frozen stuff for some reason! And I really don't like strawberries too much, but I mashed these with a potato masher and it made a sort of sauce. Maybe my taste buds are changing.:)

I like frozen yogurt it works for ice cream in a pinch. How they can make that fresh stuff turn so yummie i just...... wait..... they add sugar thats what does it lol.....

Sugar, hey? I guess that's why I like it:rolleyes: Oh well, if it gets me to eat fresh strawberries, so much the better!

Well, today ended up nice, so with DD at daycare for the afternoon, I got an hour-long power walk in!

I've decided to start posting what I'm eating like others do, but instead of calories, I'm going to put my Weight Watchers points. It's just easier to look them up on the WW site! I meant to have a healthier supper by myself, but the ex never showed up (long story) so I took the kids to his grandpa's for supper and got invited to stay, so I had to eat what he made:rolleyes:

I get 24 pts a day, plus 35 flex pts to use throughout the week if I want. I can also earn activity points.

Breakfast: nut medley granola bar 3pts
Lunch: leftover Basil and Red Pepper Chicken with Noodles, pepsi 10pts
Snack: fruit cup 2pts
Supper: 1/2 hamburger patty, handful of boiled potatoes with margarine, baby carrots, chocolate milk 8.5pts
Snacks: 1/2 banana 1pt

Total: 24.5pts (over by only .5)
Activity Points: I earned 4pts!!!

I was told that each point is worth about 50 calories, give or take. So my limit is about 1200 calories. I hit about 1300 today, and about 1100 yesterday. So I'm doing fairly well:D

DQ
good to see your doing so good.
I know a thing or two about ex's and the "stress" that comes with it, horrible haha.
I tried to read most of you're diary but you're just too big of a superstar that my butt's gone numb from sitting here reading your diary (good thing)
Hope everything goes well for ya, lots of love :)

LOL! I think it's just because I talk too much! But thanks!:)

Taking a page out of M2M's diary, I'm going to try and come up with some goals for this week.

1) Do one hour of cleaning today (burn some calories, while doing some much needed house work:D )
2) Walk 30 miles throughout the week.
3) Do Fit to Strip video 3 times in the week (strength training)
4) Do 20 min. of step aerobics 3 times a week.
5) Try cycling calories (points) this week, and keep track on here.

I think that's enough for now!
