Dan's Progress Tracking Thread

Here I will track my progress. I will be posting pictures of my pathetic body and you will see if transform into a masterpiece. I know what I want and I am going for it.

Just got into the gym this week properly and took these pictures today after one week of working out. My main focus is going to be weights for now, but I also do cardio 5-6 days a week (Tredmill running).

Well, here goes. Be brutal with your comments as I know I have a long long way to go. I can take it ;) Plus i'm willing to put the effort in and have been doing so in both the gym and especially with the diet :)

A long way to go but I have the motivation to do it and I know I will reach my goals!
 
Motivation is HUGE! Stick with it, keep to those goals!
 
What Cardio are you doing?
5-6 times a week sounds like too much to me, maybe you should alternate cardio and weights on different days?

Another suggestion would be to read up on HIIT (search the site), I've heard that's the best kind of cardio to mix with weight lifting as it won't inhibit muscle growth as much
 
Running on the treadmill for minimum of 30 mins. On a day where I lift though I will often skip the cardio or do HIIT which I never last long doing, afterall after lifting heavy weights you really don't have the energy to do HIIT for long lol.

On non weights days is when I do "Steady" cardio for the 30-45mins. I'm really trying to get rid of my big man boobs and flabby gut lol. It's got to be the best way to shift body fat by doing cardio right?
