dang it!

I am cutting right now but it seems that as of today (for a month), i cant go to the gym due to my parents. I am grounded from the gym. :rolleyes: . So I wanted to know if their was anything I could do at home..would doing push ups and sit ups help at all? ..I'll still be eating 200 under my maintenance and doing cardio twice a week.

P.S - Do you think it'd be worth buying some dumbbells so I can work out at home?...due to my income, dumbbells are pretty much all i can buy.
 
Any recommendations on a good dumbbell set? Due to trading off days at the gym with my wife, I'm trying to come up with something I can work on those nights I'm home with the kids.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but any suggestions on a dumbbell routine to help me build my arms, shoulders, and back would be great!

you could do "the bear" with the dumbells. it is one big movement:
have them on the ground. use challenging weights
1.pendlay row them
2. deadlift them
3. hang clean them
4. front squat them
5. military press them, brining them behind your neck so you can
6. back squat them
7. mil press again

put em down. repeat as desired. im pretty sure thats the bear. if not, its pretty close
 
That is the beear but you're suppose to do it with a barbell...i suppose you could with dumbbells although i wouldn't know how to back squat with a dumbbell.
