Daily Nutritional Values

How many grams of sugar daily do you guys recommend? Sugars are not consider "good carbs" and if stored they will quickly turn into fat, correct? I've been trying this low fat (under 20 grams of fat 2600 calorie) diet and I am still getting between 200g-170g (6'1" 185-180 lbs) of protein and sufficient carbs. I've seen body fat drop immensely with increased muscle mass.
