Well, I have never taken dieting/exercising seriously, I would always try for a week, then stop.. but summer's coming soon so I really want to be able to finally not care about how I look in clothes, like a swimsuit, shorts, or just anything. I weigh around 150, haven't weighed myself in 2 months so I'm not sure. I want to get down to be 120 (My height is 5'4).

What's motivating me is that my boyfriend is also pretty heavy himself. At his most, he has been around 300, but I would say he's around 260 now. He goes to the gym all the time and I'm going to start going with him. Maybe it'll motivate him to work harder too. He works out for 30 minutes and calls it a day :ack2: I also want to start eating better. Should I cut out bread/pasta? I know I probably shouldn't be eating cereal... too much sugar, too. It's a little difficult to know what to eat/make.

Anyway, I'm also super motivated because I have TONS of clothes. I would say that I have like 20 pairs of jeans that don't fit me anymore. I wear the same two pairs of jeans all the time, or a pair of black sweatpants that I have (yeah, super broke here).

It also bugs me that my family always tells me that I'm fat.. I have always had some extra weight and they always let me know that. The one time in my life that I was thin, they were giving me so many compliments, but then I gained it back and they were all "what happened?" :banghead: What pisses me off is that I know I would have never been this way if my dad didn't always bring me junk food (he worked for one particular company that always gave away boxes of stuff) which is totally not a good thing for a young kid to have in excess, if at all.

Anyway, I'm actually going to do it for real this time. Tomorrow I'm going to exercise for an hour, and eat oranges and carrots for snacks. Not sure what meals I'll have.

If anyone has some quick tips or just any comment it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
I was totally in your situation in January! It sucked and I'm starting to regain more and more of my closet now. I started at 160 though! My aunts and uncles also seem to always have an opinion about my weight and none of them are skinny so its super annoying!

Working out with your boyfriend sounds awesome since I started because my fiance was working out too. He really helped push me when I wanted to quit and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to become a couple that works out together as I think that is adorable lol

My advice is just to add more veggies and eat healthier. I personally cut out more carbs as time went by but it will depend on if you can handle the diet without constantly cheating so its better to stick with something you can stay consistent with.

Same here. People are strange. How much do you weigh now?

Yeah! Haha, our building's security guard and a few other people took notice of us and think we are just adorable.

I weigh 136 now but I wanted to get to 125 by June so I'm still hoping I can get down there. I will definitely get smaller by June just not sure if it will be 125 :)

it sounds like you have awful lot of cloths!!! thats motivation already!!!!

Well so far I don't think I've lost any weight, but my boyfriend has probably shed 15 pounds. He stopped going to the gym, he just works out at home now while I sleep, so we don't really work out together, but I'm going to start going to the gym on May 5th because then I have a week without school/finals.

I have started to go on the slow-carb diet though. Supposedly, you're supposed to lose a lot of weight without exercising, though doing both is probably the best. We'll see how that works out.
