Without even seeing the brand of the "fat loss shake" you are talking about, I can almost guarantee that it's junk. There is no secret to fat loss, despite what the fad diets and crappy products will tell you. A simple knowledge of lifting weights, eating right, and added cardio is just a bonus.

Creatine is something your body produces naturally, but an added supplement can help some people with muscle gains. Again, a mod here has written up a great read regarding creatine in the Supplements forum. You wouldn't need to be taking creatine while cutting though.
So yeah, read around, and try to piece together a diet plan that puts you in a healthy deficit. Look at forming up a weight lifting routine too. With a good routine, eating right, and some added activities, you will melt fat off efficiently. It just takes some discipline! Good luck my friend.
