Cutting And Gains??

So i've been cutting for a while now, dropped my body fat from 24% to 15%, and planning to go further cutting till i get to around 10%. The thing is, although i've lost 21 pounds during this period, ALL of my lifts are increasing. I've increased in bench by ~25 pounds. Squat by ~30, and the other benchmarks by similar proportional amounts. (yeah i do other exercises, just giving examples ^^).

Anyway, i thought it was normal to lose muscle while cutting. Am i just getting some lucky streaks? My diet is pretty tight, i dont make exceptions, and i work pretty hard w/o overtraining. The gains have been happening consistently over the last few months, and i had bulked for a few months before starting cutting, so i doubt i qualify as new. Is something else happening that i don't understand?

Any ideas would be great, just want to understand what's going on ^^, Thanks everyone!

I spent about 3 months lifting before cutting, and i've been cutting for about 9 weeks now.

This is expected because you are so new to weight training. Because its something so new to your body, it is reacting to it much more aggressively. Enjoy these times, because youll be hitting plateaus soon.

Really? I've read that the newbie gain muscle and lose fat at the same time thing lasted only the first 6 weeks, ive been at this nearly six months. Interesting though, guess i'll count my graces and hope it sticks ^^

plateaus arent a guarenteed occurance; so you arent necissarily going to hit a plateu; they just happen to most of us:D .

There is no real rule like "after X time you will not see muscle gains." There are so many variables involved. It has a lot to do with genetics. You may be genetically blessed to be able to lean up and build muscle all at the same time. It is rare but not unheard of
