cut/bulk split..what do you think?

What do you guys think about a diet/exercise program that splits cutting and bulking between days like if I were to eat 3000 calories on monday and lift heavy weights, and then on tuesday eat just under my maintenance level and do 25-30 minutes of running? back and forth like that...might that be effective in cutting fat (or at least not gaining any) and still being able to build muscle/get big?

It's not just the food you eat on a lifting day that affects you. If you work out hard one day and eat 3000 calories, then the next day eat 2000 you're not going to bulk as much because your muscles are still rebuilding that day. Your best bet is to bulk for a while and when you get to a point you're happy wtih, then cut.

Look, i dont know about this whole "you cant put on muscle if you are trying to lose fat" thing because i am doing it and im not a genetic freak by any means. Im just eating right, lifting weights and mixing in some cardio. Its working fine for me. Im putting on muscle and im losing fat at the same time (only had a little around the stomach to begin with) and my body weight has not changed which lets me know that i have lost fat but replaced it with muscle (both of which you can see).
