What's good in the hood, Val? You're the most active person, socially, that I know.

Guess it doesn't help that I'm from a small podunk town.

"Podunk"???? *goes to check Urban Dictionary*

To answer your question, P and I are off to Reggae Night where DJ Rudy B is spinning (his brother Selecta 7 was the Reggae slot DJ for KZSC for years, that being the college radio station up here), and at 10 we're walking a few blocks away to Cafe Mare where DJ 187 Sound System AKA Damien is spinning. Damien is one of the nicest DJs in town. He suggested I become a DJ  I was really excited at the idea, I'm thinking of arranging a meeting with him to learn some things, but tonight we're going to exchange some music. I personally don't feel like I have enough time to dedicate to it, but of course, if I really want to, allowances and sacrifices can be made. For now, I just want to make sure to be at the right places at the right times.

I am and what's better, is I'm doing it without being drunk :D Best to keep my wits about me!

Good news: I haven't been drunk enough to be seriously hung over since late August. That's a bleeding RECORD for me! I think I'm "growing up!" ;)

I think I'm "growing up!" ;)

And yes, that is a hit below the belt to people who are older than 26 who continually binge drink--I'm ever so slightly intolerant of drunks because my mom was such a belligerent one, and my exes were/are alcoholics. I'll never stop enjoying a few pints or a few glasses of wine, and I will definitely get more than tipsy once in a while, but my blackout days are OVER :coolgleamA: I have compassion in my heart for drunks but I'd rather not surround myself with them anymore and they need to get a clue--ya don't NEED to get wasted all the time. And no one cares how drunk you got last time, you're only causing massive harm to your body/mind/and spirit. A message to you, Rudy, Specials styly.

Well, we both know we can grow up and also let the Inner Child simultaneously be free, it's a delicate balance and it all stems from heart-warming shit, which I may as well refer to as H.W.S. HAHA!

That we can.

I still have a blast.

But I've changed my ways significantly compared to how they were in college and a year or so after.

Yes, me too--ALTHOUGH strangely enough I go to way more parties, now. I go to dance and talk to nice people, whereas in the past I went to get faded.

Yup.

It's really when I learned conversation goes well past the point of, "yo, beer liquor tits ass."

It's actually an art form.

And fun.

Thanks M! I sure am interested in getting to be a better dancer!

I took a hip hop class at 24hr fitness a few years back. I can't remember the moves but it sure was fun!!

A few of us should get together and learn a routine, then bust it out in a club like that movie "White Girls." OMG that would be hilarious!!

YOU DO sound all grown!!! I love it...:beating:..keep watering the VALERIE seed & let's see what more GREATNESS will sprout out of you!!! :coolgleamA:.....

If you mean "White Chicks" with the Waynes bros, DUDE THAT'S MY FAVORITE PART OF THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!! :rotflmao: FUCK YEAH, let's do it!

LOL! Yes, I meant "White Chicks"

I own the movie, you'd think I'd get it right with the name.

That is my favorite part too! Especially the head spin

I'm down! LOL

Let's see if we can get a team going. What will our name be? The possibilities are endless...

OMG yes they are!

I love that movie, it's hilarious and I love Terry Crews in it. Thing is, no one I know appreciates it as much as I do. Humph!

What a day!

I overate like crazy :D HA!

Our company had a potluck and I didn't bring anything, because I was too busy yesterday changing my oil, getting my haircut, taking Mangala's yoga class, and going to the store to buy a few household items, namely kitty litter, since it is too cold to keep my window open all day for Oliver to go out. He might get fat and lazy this winter, unless I lock him out during the day and I can't do that :angelsad2: I'm not sure if fluffy cats can withstand 40 degrees but I don't want to subject him to that. At 50 degrees he puffs all his fur out, and I suspect he's cold. ANYWAY I ate homemade vegetarian lasagna, cheese and bread, garlic bread, veggies and hummus, a polenta pizza bite, and had champagne and wine. Right now I'm drinking another half glass of champagne at my desk :D

Good thing it's Kickboxing and Yoga tonight!

Then dinner and dancing and networking with my boi, Peezey.
