Great bit of info! Eggs are great, I have been adding them in recently to up my protein and work on adding to that lean mass I have instead of letting it fade away with weight-loss. Often I do them for breakfast, scrambled with hot sauce on them. Here's why:

Eating hot peppers can speed up your metabolism and cool your cravings, researchers at Laval University in Canada found. Here’s why: Capsaicin (a chemical found in jalapeno and cayenne peppers) temporarily stimulates your body to release more stress hormones, which speeds up your metabolism and causes you to burn more calories.

I also will sometimes make a batch of crustless quiche in muffin tins. They are bite size and ready to go. I put in spinach, turkey bacon or sausage, and some lowfat cheese.

I really don't think you do. :rotflmao:

I'd have a better time getting it from salmon, but The World's Healthiest Foods website is right--eggs are CHEAP, man.

Salmon's pretty cheap, too, if you're a fan of CostCo. They have these packages of wicked tasty Salmon burgers that come out to less than a buck each. But I guess you probably go for that free range, organic type stuff. Like any creature's existence can even be nonhostile, or anything in the world is still "unpolluted". You people amuse me.

145.5 I'm not worried about that, you'll run it off with all the new gear you bought. But your friend Chris, that is so sad...

He's very fortunate to have met you. Probably it's important that you met him too. I do believe that things like that are opportunities to learn something. Usually you don't know what it is while it's happening but sometimes you do.

From the other side of the country (where I am) I'm struck that of all of the people I know, you are more full of LIFE than any. So being close and loving to somebody so near to the end is especially meaningful.

Oh hello! :)

This website is solid gold: The World's Healthiest Foods

I too am trying to stay lean, that's part of the reason why I'm adding the eggs--word, it's way better than a 500 calorie bagel or something.

And I got the protein joke! I wan ignoring it--and watch out, I can get filth nasty here in a second.........:reddevil:

Thank you, yes, Chris is sort of a shell of what he was, no doubt--I met him when he was already deathly ill. You have no idea how many times I have talked him out of suicide.......NO IDEA. And how often I had thought maybe he'd be better off out of pain. It's pretty fucking ridiculous, life and death and how they affect me. I only have my auntie to let me know that while Great Grandpa said Life is our greatest gift, she also reminds me that death may just be a transformation that should not be feared.

I have no idea. Which is why I live my life on fast-forward. One never knows, no matter how religious you are.

Chris said when he died, he saw no white light. So he's a little nervous....

A girl after my own heart. I eat atleast 2 raw eggs a day. They are good for you. Cooking them ruins them and almost all egg allergies are only to cooked eggs. Raw ones dont bother them. You will get used to them.

Expect to be blasted by know it alls that are 10 years in the past and think you are going to soon be smitten by salmonella. These people will usually throw their judgments at you whilst hiding behind a diet soda that they are drinking to wash down a diet pill that they now must eat because they just had their 4th #5 combo from McDonalad's this week.

But they will insist that natures perfect food is bad for you.

Thanks for the website, I'll check it out. I'm nowhere near lean, I'm just working on getting there and want to preserve the lean mass I have now for when I get to that point.

I figured you'd get the joke, you seem like a bright girl :D. Oh, and it wasn't me who said it I just found it a little funny.

That's what I'm talkin' bout!!! :D

Ain't no salmonella gonna git me, pshaw!

The website can customize a meal for you according to what nutrients you might be lacking, after you read about what the nutrients and vitamins do for you and figger out where you might be going wrong. CHACCHING!

No problem, protein all around, protein in my brain, protein in my mouth, protein on my chest, la dee da dee! :reddevil:

Heh, I just did that test on there and it said I'm in the 94% for the worlds healthiest foods. I'll deal with that last 6% cause I'm not eating venitian calf liver w/ onions, or sauteed sweet potato and spinach.

.... we like 2 party

I had a sweet potato yesterday, was pretty good. Not a huge fan of them though because you usually need sweetners for them. Butter, sugar, and cinnamon, or honey. Tryin to stay away from butter and processed sugar. Oh, and a cinnamon sweet potato sounds dry and bleh. I make some pretty good sweet potato fries that I dip in honey mustard, those are killa.

So today

I have a "date" with Ade, never met him, but whatever. He seems smart, and he's a Libra--I've had good experiences with Libras lately, heh heh.

He's also HUGE! As in built, damn. And black! And a Southerner, this is going to be great, I'm so sick of the same ol same ol boys, now he can tell me interesting stories and I can show him how to get hyphy in the Bay Bay Bay Bay Bay where we go Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb....

Sorry, it's a Bay Thang, Maihn

So I had Kombucha on my 45 minute drive to work as usual, and I swallowed those eggs and chased it with Acai drink, and I have another spinach, blue cheese, cranberry and almond salad with balsamic vinaigrette for lunch. With hope, I shalt not go into an afternoon sugar binge despite PMS. By the way, I don't really get PMS other than an increase in hunger. I make sure to get my extra calcium and choline and exercise--WORD UP!!!

For dinner I shall have salmon over a bed of baby greens with mango salsa and chili lime garlic sauce......and beer! :cheers2: With my date.

I just basically want to get to know this guy, I already have a few Fuck Buddies although that could change--men are fickle creatures. However, most of them who get to fuck with me come back for more and more, what can I say? Ahhh! Pimp shit, pimp shit coming at you, straight from the Cruz, Ho I thought you knew?

I listen to way too much Mac Dre

Yeah, I make a recipe that I like, not for anyone else, and it is a sort of crazy wild rice with stuff in it like cherry tomatoes, chunks of bell pepper, chunks of sweet potato, basil, chunks of fake chicken, and chopped up raw habeneros. Spicy goodness! Very little bad things in there, I only use a bit of olive oil.
