OK Val ... don't take this the wrong way ... BUT

PZ IS ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE AND I WANT TO SUCK HIS FACE!!!

OMG ... I love his eyes. I totally get what you see in him. And his smile. YUM!!!!

I'm so glad to hear that things are just getting better and better with this dude. You deserve it, Val. Every good thing that comes your way, believe me, you deserve it and then some!!!

If I were you, I'd be walking on Cloud 9!!!

And hit the weights, Val. Your body will thank you ;)

Mo, LOL I heard that's your nickname :D, THANKS! He has the BLUEST eyes, I swear! Melissa can attest to that. But if you saw his body.....:drool5: I can't even begin to describe how it turns me on--he just shouldn't be allowed to wear clothes. Seriously.

And yeah, please call me "Mo", Val :) I don't like correcting people when they call me "Maureen". Eventually, somebody will call me "Mo", and then the domino effect happens ;)

Yes, when he gave us both a hug at the same time it was so adorable. You can totally tell that he is a genuine caring guy and that he really likes you. I'm so happy for you. His eyes are so beautiful to!! You don't see many Italian men with blue eyes. :)

Yeah his mom has brown eyes--but her mom had blue eyes, and PZ's dad has blue eyes, so he's actually only a quarter Italian from his maternal grandfather (like I'm a quarter Native American and a quarter Mexican). I was extremely good at understanding Medel's Trait Inheritance "spreadsheet", so as blue is a recessive gene, he had a 50% chance of having brown eyes.

My eyes are brown, and my mom has nothing but brown eyes in the family--but my dad had green eyes and HIS dad had blue eyes. Green and Brown are co-dominant and blue is recessive, therefore since my eyes are brown and not hazel, it's highly likely that my genotype is Br Bl (50% chance Br Blu or Br Gr). Therefore if PZ and I have babies, there is a 50% chance they will have brown eyes and a 50% chance they'll have blue eyes.
 
But if my genotype is Br Gr and the green just doesn't show in my phenotype, then there's a 50% chance any prospective PZ babies would have brown eyes and a 50% chance they'd have green eyes--which would be a trip if they turned out green--since neither PZ or I have green eyes! :eek2:
 
I know. When that study came out, it blew what I'd learned in biology right out of the water. It's really interesting, though, isn't it?

And it makes sense when you think about it.

The BBC article was an easier read than the original paper ... that was like wading through quicksand :D

Genetics are interesting all around, huh?!
MY DH has gorgeous blue eyes **sigh** but I won't hold hope that our kiddos do (IF we have kiddos! ha). I have boring, muddy water, hazel eyes, lol.
I'm so glad you're having an amazing life w/ PZ...and yeah, he's a cutie!!
